I appreciate it. Worth changing over in your opinion for HD gun?

I put the Hogue on my 88 and it's much more comfortable. Watch the stock when you tighten it up, it tends to drift out of line a touch due to the softer rubber. But when it is lined up and tightened up, it works extremely well. I highly recommend it!

Ordered thank you.

Man, I wanted to like it so bad for my Mossberg 590a1, especially since the factory stock lop was too long, but the hogue was just too short for me. My thumb woulda busted me in the nose. Thankfully, I ordered from amazon, so the return was easy. Lots of folks like them, though, and every body type is different. But, if I remember correctly, you’re a taller man, so you may end up being in the same boat as I was, and I’m only 5’ 10”.

I ended up just cutting down the factory stock to shorten the lop.

Josh, you and I are always on the same page. I "Amazon'd" it as well. With free shipping vs. ordering elsewhere it was the same price, plus I love how easy it is to return stuff.

Had this on my Amazon wishlist for awhile. Time to spend money, thanks.

ETA: Ordered.

I see some on Amazon witching about having to buy a bolt. Can you not use the one holding the current stock? Might that one be too long?

Those of you who have used this on a Maverick 88, did you have to buy a bolt?

From what I have read the 12 LOP stock is used different than normal stocks . You bring it up to your chest and not you shoulder . I had one for my 870 and sent it back before reading this because it was way to short and I don't have long arms . I ended up getting a youth stock with a 13 LOP and like it for indoors .

I actually went yesterday and we made a temporary access panel but he wants to develop a plate, both in aluminum or steel that is similar to the one he has for the Tacoma with an access panel as well. In exchange for R&D I get the first one complimentary :)

I have spent enough money on shotgun stocks to be able to buy a new shotgun. I was punching my face with the Hogue, felt like I was hanging from a bar trying to reach everything with a speed feed stock. I finally got the Magpul and I think I am happy now.

I switched from the Hogue to Magpul too. I mostly did it because I wanted the sling QD point, but the Magpul is great. With the Hogue you have to shoot with the thumb extended fairly straight so that you don't hit yourself in the face. Because of the more pistol like grip of the Magpul, that's no longer a problem. It also feels easier to pull it into your shoulder. It's just a very well designed stock.
