Not off to a great start...
True Eddie. I just watched the video, to include Hickok's explanation of what happened.

Kind of funny listening to everyone praise the hell out of this gun over the last couple of weeks and then seeing this. I have to laugh, I'm sorry...

:animlol:

What a POS. I'll stick to the real deal, thank you.

Every time a big-name anticipated gun comes out, there are always .... ALWAYS .... videos like this about a week after launch. No matter how good the gun turns out to be through the course of time, you can bet on a few "fail" videos getting put out there to get peoples' attention, stir the ****, get clicks while the gettin's good.

The only thing dumber than being an early adopter (unless you can easily afford it, in which case have at it friend) is believing everything you see on the internet.

I hear you, but that’s not how Hickok operates. Watch the last five minutes of his video.

Sorry, but this gun is ridiculous. It’s totally inexcusable.

No that's now how Hickok45 operates. I don't know the other guy's stuff though, never watched him or heard of him before. But I reviewed his video catalog, and found these other titles:

WARNING: Don't Buy A Ruger Mini-30 Without Watching This First

WARNING: Do Not Buy a Benchmade Infidel Without Watching This First

Why I Sold My P365 and Don't Regret It

WARNING THE P365XL IS JUNK!!!!!! DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Also, to date this guy has posted 15 videos about the new Colt Python. Big anticipation videos prior to release, poo-poo ever since. It's a style, or strategy, of youtubing that I don't appreciate.

Is there a problem with the two Pythons in this guy's video and Hickok45's? Yup, looks like with hickok's at least, there is a bindup happening that is keeping hammer draw from advancing the cylinder. A small nudge on the cylinder got it unbound and it rotated again, so it's a fit issue which needs to be corrected. Either early production gremlin which is normal in manufacturing, or persistent design flaw. We will come to know.

The originals were hand fitted and tuned by gunsmiths in the Colt Custom Shop. I'll bet these are CNC'd and sold as is.

Having said that Junior is obviously click baiting like Yankee Marshall.

Last time I heard "I did ever thang I cud" was on Hee Haw.

That is a very good possibility. I'm sure they're run through a pass/fail checkbox QA inspection, but that's not going to catch everything on every gun and the person conducting it will be trained just to conduct the inspection, not an experienced gunsmith.

Been thinking about treating myself to one. I know, not the OG, I'm late to the game etc. Nonetheless, still want it.

Anybody see this video? Brand new and not rotating the cylinder and light primer strikes. Colt off their game?

Hoping others own this and can add their perspective.

The fellow in the video is a bit of a hack. Flinch city. No eye protection, doesn’t know how to unload a revolver and certainly doesn’t know how to load or use a speed loader. Watching it was a bit painful but good to know about the teething issues of the new Python. Thanks for posting.

I still want one. I was going to wait a while anyway to let demand die down and prices normalize. Now another reason to wait is to let the bugs get worked out.

We'll see how things are looking in about a year.
