Been thinking about treating myself to one. I know, not the OG, I'm late to the game etc. Nonetheless, still want it.

Anybody see this video? Brand new and not rotating the cylinder and light primer strikes. Colt off their game?

Hoping others own this and can add their perspective.

    This is interesting.

The other video on the Python was very promising.

That guy in your video flinches like a mad dog.

Well, Colt can’t afford to have the re-release of the python go bad. The hammer seems to not come back very far, and all the single action shots looked like they went off to me.

Hmm, just watched a Hickock vid where the same thing happened. Definitely will keep an eye out on this as I was ready to drop $$ on one.

All I saw as bad ammo. Of course, I'm not there and the "research" is a bit flawed.
And yeah, for the $$$ Colt shouldn't be having these kinds of problems, if in fact, it is the gun.

What would ammo have anything to do with the cylinder not turning?

Maybe I missed it but I never saw the cylinder not turn in this video.

Yep! Looks like all the price gouging may be over right about now. Lol!! I'll still wait a year or so before I put my hard earned cash down for one.

Yep. I'm out. 2 documented instances is not coincidence. Oh well, my SP101, GP100 and 686 will remain top shelf in my safe. Maybe they shouldn't have eliminated so many internal parts.

Gee zuss ... watched that video too. Not good.

I never even heard of a revolver not revolving when cocking the hammer. Guess it's possible with a really high primer but that wasn't the case. The hand wasn't lifting or holding itself when rotating the star on the ejector base. To me that says Colt didn't check it, or checked in unloaded / cylinder unweighted

Maybe I'll just get a trigger job for my GP100 5" and call myself happy?

What the heck is up with Colt? Their intros have not gone well. Not making ARs for civies, etc. My heart feels heavy

I will stick with my S&W Model 28, and wait for my Dad to pass so I can get his Python that was made in 1971(I am not in any kind of rush!).

Just buy a late mid-late sixties Python - I had two a 2.5" and a 4" - they ran great. I carried the 4" a long time. If you want a Python buy a 60's - mine ran good.

Nope. I caught a ton of those as a kid. Not only will they squirt you with musk, but you get a good size one 2' or more, they will bite you with much enthusiasm.

This new Python, apparently no so much. Maybe the "Sand Boa."
