When buying pants to be worn when carrying, how many sizes do you increase the waist?
Thanks

+2" for IWB medium frame gun, +2" more if your gonna IWB a spare mag.

YMMV

I wear 30's, I buy 32's. I like the Atlantco Tru-Spec 24/7 pants. I know they are all tacti-whatever, but they let me carry all my stuff and have expandable waists (about 1-2 sizes). I get the ripstop poly/cotton blend. Before these pants I was tearing up my khakis at work. Since buying them, I haven't had one snag or tear.

I jumped up 2 sizes (2 inches) and you may also want to consider a "relaxed fit" if you really want them to be comfortable. Relaxed fit won't make you sexy, but sure make IWB comfortable.

I have Dockers that have a stretchy expandable waistline. My regular jeans are always a little big anyway, just enough for that extra space needed.

Thanks. I was thinking 2 inch increase in the waist. I already wear relaxed fit. Can't stand tight fitting pants. I am not a slim guy so comfort is paramount. I also know it depends on the gun and holster. The Kimber will require less than a Glock or the like.
I am going to have to check into the Rip stop pants.
Thanks again

+2" for IWB carry of a XD45...works perfect for me.
