Trigger Shoe Recommendation

Hi, Gen 3 Glock 17. Currently using OEM trigger group but with GPT shoe. Not wild about the GPT shoe.

Looking for recommendations on a flat face trigger shoe that matches as many of the the following conditions as possible:

1) Either does not remove pre-travel or has adjustable pre-travel - I use an AA conversion kit so shoes that automatically remove an exorbitant amount of pre-travel are out.
2) Gen 3 thickness - some shoes are designed to fit "all gens" which means they are skinnier than normal and it can induce a bit of wobble
3) Aluminum or Polymer, either is ok

Thanks!

You are not going to get the trigger you desire with just the shoe as your original post suggested. The best you can do for a Glock trigger is a (-) connector and a flat face trigger. Look at Zev or Overwatch Precision for trigger systems. The other more popular alternative is to shoot about 2000 rds and learn your trigger and break in the surfaces.

if you want the perfect trigger break consider a Staccato, Wilson Combat or Nighthawk.

I don't mean to be a dick... but what makes you think you have ANY idea of the kind of trigger I desire?

I never said ANYTHING about a perfect break or anything like that.

I know a shoe ain't gonna work wonders for a trigger. ALTHOUGH, the VEX shoe IS a pretty darn good standalone part with OEM internals in it's own right.

Youlle never get what your looking for out of a shoe. You need to have someone really good do your trigger. Im going to tell you Johnny is the man. But ive watched all his videos copied what he taught me and I have it down now. Its like night n day. You want the creep gone on both ends anb you want a clean brake and fast reset. I thought I was a trigger man until I learned alittle bit more. I am very good with all the other type guns. Espceially ars. Ive got a roller bearing system in place. Antyway If your short on funds id do it for 75 bucks. The thing I like most about glocks is, you dont like, 3 minutes its back to stock. simple. Take car.

I swear to god this thread is a perfect example of how people don't read past the thread title.

"Trigger Shoe Recommendation" title and at least 2 people are like "oh got an idiot here who wants to convert their Glock trigger into a 1911 trigger" despite my pretty concisely and clearly spelled out ask in the first post. Then these people try to tell me what I ACTUALLY want / need.

Sticks in my craw.

I am guessing you dont like the gpt shoe since it is slightly woobly because it is actually built for gen5. I have seen some people with bushings on the right side that they install to take up the negative space. Maybe that would make things stable? I have the gpt shoe on 3 different guns, one g44-5, one g19-3 and one psa g19-3 mos clone. I much prefer the gpt shoe to the curved factory trigger. I hate the curved and ribbed g19 factory import trigger. I changed 20? Years ago

I hate it when threads get kinda hijacked and pig trailed.... Did the Vicker's shoe fit your needs? I like that shoe on the GPT with a heavy connector personally.
