In my experience, Apex is the only FF shoe that allows the trigger bar to go fully forward. It passes the punch test with the trigger bar fully forward and with the dingus tight against the frame.

I didn’t know the GPT shoe could be put on the standard trigger assemblies. Is there a way to buy the shoe separately or do you have to buy the whole GPT?

You would have to find take-offs or get the whole kit. A lot of folks prefer a different shoe so they shouldn't be hard to find. Johnny Glocks might have some he's willing to part with.
