I managed to get my 407k mounted. I had to file on the Ruger dowel pins to get them to drop into the slide to fit within the mounting bosses that Holosun provides at the front of the optic. They ended up about 0.030" above the slide surface before the optic would sit flat with no air gaps. I also shortened the M4 screw on the Extractor Depressor Plunger side so that it would not foul the extractor claw movement.

I like it, the k series is a good match for the slide width of the RXM.

I have a three pack of Glock 19 Gen 5 mags on order from Brownells. I didn't notice any problems with JHP ammo in my initial outing, but I will try both PMAGS and Glock mags with my carry stuff (Federal HST 124 standard pressure and Gold Dot 124+p) next time. Can concur the PMAGS are a lot harder to load than I recall of Glock mags.

I had to relieve the lower edge of the trigger guard with a sandpaper covered dowel. Taking that edge off makes it less likely to dig in to my middle finger knuckle while shooting.

So far so good. I really like this gun. I hope Ruger comes out with a G26 configuration that uses the 12 round PMAGS soon, as well as a 17 form factor. Maybe by SHOT show.
I've heard that issue with the 407K. The 407C is supposed to bolt right on with zero issues.

Correct. Holosun in their infinite wisdom used a "modified" RMSc footprint for the k models. It's so stupid.

However, Ruger was smart. On the Max 9, they milled the slide for direct fitment of the K model "modified" RMSc, since they know Holosuns are popular, and the footprint will mount standard RMSc just fine.

I'm surprised they did not include a set of two shorter posts just for K models with the RXM, but cost and screw Holosun for doing that dumb footprint on the K models 😂

Maybe this has been answered, but I haven't seen it. If it has, please indulge me.
I know from the above that Glock mags will work. Also, the PMAGs that come with the gun will work. Are those PMAGs that come with the RXM the same mags that MagPul has been selling for Glock Gen 3 for years? I've got several of them, and was wondering if they would function also.

Anyone who has experience with this, please chime in. It's much appreciated.

Any Glock compatible G19 mag should work. I was using some $6 Fab Defense G19 mags with great success out of the RXM frame.

Yeah, they're essentially the same as they've always been. There is, however, some sort of stacked tolerance happening here among their mags.

Here is one of the low dollar 18 round mags I was using. The 16 rounders from the same company were working flawlessly.

Unsure why they chose to launch with a gray frame instead of black…historically, they don’t seem to sell that well, as I recall (right H&K?).

The black frame is $40 from Magpul.
Yeah, considering the low entry cost, $40 for a black frame is not bad at all... SIG... Charging like $50++ for a P365 or P320 grip module.

Black guns are also just done to death, so launching in grey I actually thought was cool. To each their own. :)

Multicam black is the where it's at...lol

I just wanted to add some screw information for anyone who might find this useful. This relates to mounting a Holosun 407k on my RXM this past week.

I opted to use the M4 screws that came with the optic.

The M4 screws supplied by Holosun extend 0.194 or 4.97 mm below the optic body, so clearly I had to shorten one to avoid contacting the Extractor Depressor Plunger (EDP.)

I ground down the EDP side M4 screw using the small sanding head on my rotary tool, till the depth of the threads below optic body reached 3.82 mm / 0.150”. I measured the depth from slide surface to top of EDP at 4.29 mm / 0.169, so shortening the screw gave me approx 0.47 mm / 0.019” clearance to EDP. I left the other screw alone.

The M4 screws fill the optic mounting holes nicely. Checking the free play of Extractor with dry optic was good, no contact with EDP.

Showing shortened dowel pins in slide. M4 screw shortening in progress. Yes, I used a toothpick to check clearance on the EDP side.

First range trip with my RXM yesterday was great. No problems at all. Shot it better than any 9mm I've ever owned. My friend in the next stall was trying out his new Beretta Cheetah 80x ($800) and ask me to put a couple rounds through it to see what I thought of it. Very nice pistol but recoil felt like a 9mm and not a 380. I then ask him to shoot my RXM.( $400 ) He felt the same as me, the RXM was the nicer of the two to shoot. ( both were using Blazer Brass). Another thing I discovered, after about 13 rnds of zeroing the red dot I decided to try out the iron sights. To my surprise I like the irons over using the dot. So when I got home the dot came off. Final thoughts on the RXM, I like every thing about it except one thing, the case is way to big & wont fit in my range bag.:ROFLMAO:

My guns end up going in either a SERPA paddle holster, or an IWB holster and get put into the range box. I don't have individual bags or cases for each handgun, as I'll usually take 3-5. If I'm going to Ben Avery, which is rarer and rarer due to the distance, I get the COSTCO folding cart out. 300 lb capacity baby! ALL THE RIFLES AND ALL THE PISTOLS GO ON BEN AVERY DAY DAMN IT :D

You very accurately described how I feel about it, hence getting two. I really like it with and without a dot; it's a stupid reason, and not really why I chose to get another RXM. As I mentioned, I plan on getting like a 26L frame, or a 17 frame so having another FCU was the reason aside of liking them so much.

The beauty of Magpul not using a backstrap system, is even if they don't do something like a 26L grip frame, it isn't gonna be hard to grip chop one of these.

Again, I think there was some good thought put into this. Backstrap systems really can be nice, but for those of us in the middle (majority) realm of the hand size bell curve, this size works. Gen 3 grip frames work, too. We don't have extraordinarily smol hands or giant bear killing meat hooks.

I get the distance thing, I have a 45 minute drive each way to my range and that's 2 times a week. It gets old but ,,,,,,.
I have a friend at the range & she also has a cart to hauls hers in. I travel lite, 2 at a time.
