FYI, I'm running 2 Lone Wolf (Timberwolf) frames, and yes, there have 1911 grip angles, or dang close to it. I feel no difference between them and my 1911.
I really want a 19 sized gun so I have been considering going with the Timberwolf option, I was just curious about the RXM because it looks like it is going to be hard to beat on price point. I have not ruled out a Timberwolf just yet, but I hear that they operate best with Glock mags only, not that it is a big problem, I just want to make sure everything is reliable too as it wouldn't just be a range toy.

Since I already had a G19/G23 sized Glock, I went with the TW frame. Starting from scratch, I would buy the RXM or an M&P. YMMV.

Well, another update. The FDE Frame is here, and looks gooooood. I love the RXM, and this furthers that.

Grip chopped the grey frame...

However, I'm not sure I was supposed to do this, given how goofy it now looks. :ROFLMAO: I won't even show a picture of how it looked with a ten rounder or PMAG 12... It was... Not holy... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Rough cut with a dremel wheel, then used a dremel sanding wheel to slowly fit it. Thank god I couldn't find my bigger files that I used in past, wrapping sand paper around them. Taking time with a dremel was a godsend. I think it came out OK.
If I had flared the front any more internally, I just started beveling into the bottom of the mag release spring mold cutout.

I'll tell ya one thing, it handles about 100 times better than any 26. That's why I left the backstrap kinda long and goofy looking. It looks decent here, though. :)

Anyway, I'll probably live fire test a mag or two through it, but it's gonna be the FDE RXM for the long term.

There are better Glock based clone values out there. PSA is hard to beat as you can use Glock internals and all the peripherals that come with it. They also make a 19x version if you like the longer grip.

Not sure the PSA has the 1911 grip angle. I know the TW does. I've used Glock internals in the TW frame.

I want the GREEN FRAME so BAD! It looks great the website was out of stock when I tried to order it a week or 2 ago….but to the chop job it does not look too bad for a first try but what is great is buy another one for 40 clams and try again!(y)

I’m a sucker for anything in OD Green

You might want to check Ruger, too.

At the moment, they only have listings for black and gray but it seems that both companies are selling grip modules so they may show up there at some point.

I pick mine up tomorrow, I intend to have it stippled before she even sees the range Sunday.

I do believe I will pick up and extra frame (not sure what colour) and cut it down to 26 specs.

I’m so excited to get it I’m thinking of trading in or selling my G17 to get a second rxm.

I think the only plastic fantastic pistol I didn’t feel the need to stipple was the hellcat pro

When all is said and done, 10 years maybe longer down the line, who will be talking about the Ruger RXM ? Riger will have moved on through a couple more NEW and IMPROVED models with the latest and greatest features that everyone needs. I think, and hope, that Glock will still be manufacturing the Glock 19 gen xx., and still having all replacements parts available for all Models 19 gen 1 thru xx. That is what creates a true classic firearm. AND that is what makes a firearm appreciate in value as the years past by. If you have an original G19, you will be happy still.

While I agree, I think this whole Gen 3 TDP guns era will add to that posterity you speak of. You're probably right, the RXM may very well be another flash in the pan. Aside of the 1911, and maybe the Beretta 92, I'm trying to think of anyone aside of them and Glock that still have achieved that. Yeah, the SIG 226/229, but still.

CZ 75 has spawned numerous clones. They have better ergos, triggers and are just as durable and reliable going through NATO testing successfully. In fact there isn’t one thing I like better about Glock other than their simplicity.

I have owned a few Glock 19s in my life. I still own one but it currently holds the title for most dust collected in my safe because all these newer pistols do everything a Glock does, just better. Especially the echelon. If we are splitting hairs the Hk USP is probably the best poly pistol ever made.

Point I’m making is if you like your 19s then awesome but other people might not love them as much as others.

Absolutely, and I knew I was missing a big one, that being the CZ75.

That look great!.
I can't wait for them to release those as a factory option.
