Just picked up a G48 MOS and want to get some opinions/reviews on real world use of the Swamp Fox Sentinel Dot Sight. Open to any other suggestions for Optics that are a direct mount to the 48. Ie. Not wanting a mounting plate or have to mill the slide. Thank you.

I have a first gen Sentinel on a 43X with close to 1500 rounds downrange and have had zero issues. I also picked up the second Gen Sentinel, but haven't mounted it on anything yet.

Have a Sentinel, works fine but I have two complaints:
1. It doesn't have a cutout to allow for co-witnessing with standard sights. I don't like putting suppressor sights on my EDC
2. You need to remove it to replace the battery, just like the RMSc
Holosuns are good and inexpensive but made in China
I did pick up a Sig Romeo Pro and so far I am impressed. I probably would have preferred the compact as it is a bit smaller footprint but the Pro sits nicely on a P220 Legion. Made in USA but isn't cheap.

I’m sure they’re fine and am actually interested in trying out a justice 2 from them but I cannot bring myself to buy anything that is bottom loading in the current age of optics. It’s to easy to make a side load or top load battery tray anymore. I’d look elsewhere.
