I saw a discussion on another forum about "Press Checks". Apparently a member took a defensive pistol course in which the instructor required them to perform a press check every time he had them load make ready.
I have never been in any training environment ever that required me to do a press check. I've never had an instructor instruct me on doing press checks. If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't know such a thing even existed.
I don't understand the point of doing it. That may be because I only have three guns that I carry and I leave them loaded. Two of them are under lock and key one is under my direct control at all times and I can't imagine somebody sneaking into my house to unload my guns.
Anyone else care to voice an opinion
