That’s the only bad thing about living close to Aim. You’ll go broke if you go up there to look around.

 

Tough to beat proven duty weapons, I grabbed a bunch of S&W 5946'S a while ago when they were on the cheap!

 

It’s only 40 minutes from me but I’ve never been. So far I’ve resisted.

Those look awesome. I've picked up at least 2 Glocks from AIM and I was happy with them.

I'd pick up some non Glock police trade ins, but due to my state now being 10 rounds and below and I'm starting to graduate towards the bac1023 style of buying more expensive guns... It's slowing my Glock collection's growth.

 

Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore has been gettin' in my wallet of late. Most recently, for a literally unissued no-rail P226 in 40 S&W. Yeah, I love them classic Sigs.

 

I have 2 police trade in guns, a P229 and a P220, both received a Sig SRT kit, short reach trigger and overall replacement of all springs.

They are a good value and you can add a 357 Sig barrel...

What is the DAK trigger? I saw these guns and was tempted to grab the full size, but I don't know what it is? DA only?

I'm already loading and shooting 40 cal. But I can't take the collateral wallet beating on mags and holsters.

 

I think you need a 9mm conversion barrel for the 229. The locking block is different and the barrel diameter is greater on the 40 over the 9mm. You can drop in a 357 Sig with same RSA, no problem.

 

got a factory 9mm barrel and it dropped right in with no egregious clearance issues

the 229 I got was made in 2014 and it uses the 229-1 barrel and has the "long extractor" so the locking blocks are the same as the .357/.40 according to the half hour of surface level research I did lol

I picked up an LETI P226/40 from Aim a few years ago as a suppressor host. Purchased a Barsto 9mm threaded conversion barrel and later picked up a 375 Sig barrel when Aim had them for $40. I enjoy all 3 calibers in that pistol now.

Although it functions 100%, the one I received didn't look nearly as good as yours!

If you call Sig they will tell you what agency they were sent to when they left the factory.

Damn. Some of those look like the grip screws are rusted. I'm glad that 40 cal Legion isn't available. I could have talked myself into that one.

 

Aim has 40's as low as 219. for M&P.

Yep, I took delivery of mine last week, first thing I did was carve off the rubber wrap around grips that an LEO had put on there; I have an appropriately sized back strap that fits my hands being delivered today.

I also took off the dead night sights and put on a pair of fiber optics which really light up well outside, sighted in this past weekend and it is pretty accurate. I currently load for the 40 caliber so I'm set there.

After sharing the information with my archery league friends a few of them placed their order as well.

 

The wussification of our LE community (and country as a whole) has created great deals for those of us who shoot 40 cal!

Unfortunately, the ammo price is still high. Even the LE trade in ammo isn't the best pricing.

I have the P226 DAK. Is the SRT something that a moderately skilled home armorer (I can install Glock triggers and build ARs) can install? I'm leaving it as a 40 because I keep 40 S&W in stock for lower recoil/lower cost options in my 10mm guns.

 

The SRT is only compatible with DA/SA versions... since I am going to convert to DA/SA I will be doing this SRT as well..

If you want to convert to DA/SA with the SRT you can do that and still keep it .40

but you’re still gonna have a 40 caliber breach face. Will it work it might but it’s not supposed to be that way I would stick with 40 caliber in those guns. You don’t have a reloader it’s a good time to buy one.

 

And they might learn how to shoot!

Shooting a bunch of 9mm only was the worst thing I did to my pistol shooting.
