My Korth Mongoose is one of my favorite handguns. I have the 51/4" barrel and both cylinders, and it is really fun to shoot. Most people I've let shoot it end up wanting one even if they are not into revolvers. There is something very satisfying about shooting it double action and it's great not having to chase brass all over the range.

I always appreciate fine machining/surface grinding and design, but for what a Korth revolver is, it's still a revolver whose 1500% higher price tag doesn't even offer 1000% more of anything in return over a similar high(er) end 'Smith or Colt revolver. I see them mainly as a prestige firearm and have never known anyone who owns and carries a Korth revolver as their personal protection.

One could create a superbly machined and finished 1911 for big $$, and what would they have? A superbly machined and finished 1911 that they paid big $$ for. And what's the Korth? A superbly machined and finished revolver that costs big $$.

Similarly, I see more value in a Timex watch than I do a Rolex, which I'm sure pisses off the Rolex guys too, LOL. Whatever!!

Funny post.
Do you realize that over the course of a few years a stainless Rolex will appreciate substantially in value, while your Timex tanks?
When I purchased my Nighthawk T3 I ordered a holster with it. I carried it quite a bit when I got it. I've seriously considered ordering a Korth with a shorter barrel than my Mongoose for carry, but ultimately decided against it. It would be great for hiking.

Just curious and I realize one is single action only but how does a Freedom.Arms revolver stack up against a Korth ?
Are they just as tight and accurate as a Freedom Arms revolver? I can't imagine a gun having better tolerances than my Freedom.Arms 97.
