My High Standard 22 Mag Derringer. Carried in my pocket for 25 years while on the Patrol. Unbeknownst by my Supervisor of course. If I had to use it and did not hit my target the muzzle flash would probably scare them off.

I think I paid $150.00 or $175.00 in the mid nineties for it. I bought it from a fellow Trooper. It was LNIB. I considered it my last ditch weapon. Thank God I never had to use it.Those actually bring decent money today...
I can hit a paper plate with it at about six feet. That's about it. When I retired I still wanted to put it my pocket every time I left the house. I finally realised my Glock 21 or 37 was all I needed now.I have a Bond Arms 327mag derringer. I shoot 32 mag/long through it. Derringers are not practical but fun to shoot.
We had a famous case ( for the 80's) of a newspaper delivery person accosted @ 0230 by 2 "drunk Bubba's...he told them he was armed and warned them to leave him alone...when they laughed and set upon him, he shot the nearest in the gut with his HS 22mag...DRT.. with a wound the ME initially refused to believe was caused by a 22 cal firearm....BTW the shooter was cleared within 2-3 days by the SAOMy High Standard 22 Mag Derringer. They now bring way more than they are worth. I have observed people asking 500 to 600 dollars for them. I bet I haven't shot mine more than 50 times. Just every so often fire the 2 rounds and reload with fresh ammo. It was never my primary weapon. It was my just in case gun. After carrying it for a month in Miami being next to my sweaty skin the finish was gone from one side. I had it refinished and carried it in a holster after that.Fla trooper 265 I had a nickel version in the late sixties when I got on the job. I also switched to the blue after a few months. Mine were in 22mag and if you didn't hit the dude you would set him on fire with the flash. I wish I could get one now. I remember the first time I fired one and this is something you just don't forget. Regards to all GT and especially all my retired bros.
I always heard the 22 magnum was a wicked little round. We had a famous case ( for the 80's) of a newspaper delivery person accosted @ 0230 by 2 "drunk Bubba's...he told them he was armed and warned them to leave him alone...when they laughed and set upon him, he shot the nearest in the gut with his HS 22mag...DRT.. with a wound the ME initially refused to believe was caused by a 22 cal firearm....BTW the shooter was cleared within 2-3 days by the SAO
I have three of these little derringers; one D-100 in .22lr and two in .22 mag (D-101). Nice reliable little pistol. Wore my .22 magnum a few times while doing some undercover work. Wanted the thin gun a bit thinner, hence the lack of grips along with the duct-tape cover of the exposed hole.
Dang Chief, you must have some big pockets. Oh I forgot I used to carry my first Glock, a Mod 23 in my fatigue camo pants without a holster. That was before I new better.

The little gun in an old Seventrees hip pocket holster. Very concealable!! I now carry FTX ammo in the pistol when I carry it.

My "normal" Hi-Standard derringers.

To give some idea of the size of the pistol, here it is next to my Glock 19 in a Null pocket holster (yes, I'm strange...).
