LOL. As long as I shoot full powered round or less, I am confident that my flock of Glocks will be around fully functional long after me.

I don't think Glock20C was saying anything is wrong. He was just showing the differences between the G20 and G29. There seems to be a thread a month about the differences in G20/G29 barrel lugs, so it's actually gonna be a useful thread. I know what you mean, though. In General Glocking, it's insane. Every day some new gun owner finds a "crack, chip, or problem" on their gun. It's never a problem. The thing that kills me is that they will talk about how the gun is working 100%. I usually tell them to worry when IT STOPS WORKING. If it's working, then it's not broken.

Anyone who whines about a Glock (any model) being junk is some combination of: ignorant, misinformed, and/or doesn't like a Glock (any model) for reasons outside of function which isn't a reason to refer to a Glock (any model) as junk in the first place.

Well that depends. Sometimes you shoot a Glock till it breaks, replace a broken part(s) when possible, and then shoot some more, in a continuing cycle when applicable. Or sometimes you shoot a Glock till it breaks, send it in to Glock who sends it back fixed and continue with shooting... Then of course many Glocks never break as all the Glock platforms are so durable to the extent many owners will never out perform the durability of the Glock platform.


So are you still twisted? Or are we on the same page now? Just because something isn't of interest to you doesn't mean it isn't to the next person. And just because there's interest by anyone does not unequivocally equate to negativity on their part.

I see no whining or worry in his post, just some useful info and pics...did you read the same post everyone else did?

 

Seems like the 20/29 barrel compatibility question comes up often on the board. How's'bout making this a sticky?

 

Maybe nobody would care, but the pics also depict the new "grayer" finish Glock is now using on the new guns (just picked up the G20 the goes with the barrel in the pics literally days ago) in comparison to the black finish we're all so familiar with from the past on my G29 barrel.

 

I wish the Glock 20's frame was exactly like that of the Glock 29. I think the G-29 is better over all with feed and function. It would also be nice if the barrels and slide were interchangeable, but we have learned that they are not!

But the pictures do show the differences between both guns very well.

 

Are other caliber glock barrels interchangeable?
