Bushmaster XM15 Patrolman....thoughts?

Just wondering if the current Bushmasters are good rifles. I'm looking at one of these on Atlantic Firearms, specifically the XM15 Patrolman model. I'll be purchasing my first M4 Carbine in a few months, but I don't know much about Bushmaster. I noticed that their parent company is Remington....that gives me pause for concern, thanks to Freedom Group's screwups.

I'm also looking at Ruger, Windham Weaponry, Colt (if I can find the 6920), and S&W.

Thanks!

Everything I've heard about Windham has been stellar. I care more about quality than resale value. If I have to sell it off in a pinch, and it's during a panic buy, I can still get twice what I paid for it, circumstances depending.

I have the Bushmaster made in Huntsville Alabama. It has been put through it's paces and continues to function like a charm. When Bushmaster changed hands a few times and moved to different locations of course they had to train new people but the same quality parts remained the same. It's hard to screw up assembling an AR! If you ever wanted a Bushmaster you better get one now. And yes they will be a sought after AR in the future.

I have a Bushmaster AR15 made about 2 years ago (Alabama made I think) and it has a very flimsy plastic trigger guard that you can easily bend with your fingers. It will bend like a MM or two with just a few pounds of pressure. Totally flimsy. It looks like the old style aluminum ones, but its cheap plastic.
