Don't know if this has already been discussed but anyway...

Season 6 of Bosch has him packing a different 1911 than in prior seasons. How many railed 1911s with external extractors are out there?

The SIS got investigated because they were able to buy theirs at a screaming deal so they bought a lot of them. Some bought 2-3 copies of each variant. 5, 4, and 3 inch. Railed and standard. The powers that be assumed they were buying them to resell at a premium, a no-no. Never heard to outcome. Must have been cleared because a charge would have made news.

Just going by the picture alone, in my humble opinion, that's not a Kimber.

If you blow up the pic, the parts I can make out that aren't Kimber are, the rear sight, grip safety,
hammer, possible flat face trigger, also Kimber rails are angled back, not squared off.

This post is open to interpretation. :D

It could be a molded rubber pistol; if a scene doesnt call for shooting or weapons manipulation ( like racking the slide) the actor will often use a plastic/ rubber facsimile that will stand in for the actual weapon; often there are inconsistencies in some areas of the weapon's appearance as opposed to the functioning prop.

I’m a lefty but shoot righty. Here’s why. When I was a kid my dad taught me how to shoot a .22 rifle. He knew I was left handed but to me it made more sense to use my good (left) hand to steady and aim the front of the rifle and use my right hand as my trigger hand. Part of this carried over and I have always shot handguns right handed. I’m sure being right eye dominate has something to do with it too. I have tried shooting right handed but it just doesn’t feel right.

While he shoots with his right hand in the show, he writes with his left hand. I think the hand you write with defines your leftie/rightie orientation. I know folks that are left handed that shoot with their right.
I shoot handguns right handed and write left handed.

My dad was left handed but played baseball right handed.

When he was growing up left hand gloves/mitts were all that were available to him so it caused him to learn to throw with his right.

I write and hold a fork with my left hand. I shoot right handed in both handgun and rifle. I bat better right handed but can bat both ways in a pinch. I throw better right handed and cast right handed.

Hasn’t used a gun much in Legacy, but in season 2 he has what looks like a Combat Master 2011, maybe the Pit Viper.

Kinda odd since in the books he just went with a Glock 27 or something like that after he retired.
