The LWD tactical length slides are out of stock now but you could put one on backorder.
I was under the impression that slide was discontinued.. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the introduction of this frame could be enough to warrant another run of the slides. I'll be keeping an eye out for them.

Resurrecting an old thread.

Finally ordered a PF45 and trying to get all my frame parts together. Already have several, but a couple of questions if anyone knows or recalls assembling one.
  • What would be the correct extended slide stop lever? On a couple of sites, they have the "regular" version for the SF frames, and I guess a larger one for the non-SF 20/21 frames. Since the PF45 takes an SF trigger housing, not sure which extended slide stop to choose.
  • What extended mag release are folks using for this frame? Again, looking at a couple of sites, the factory extended mag release says it's not for Gen 4 or 21SF models. Prefer to stay with polymer. Looks like the armorer's parts list doesn't list an extended one for the large frames.
Any replies appreciated.

The slide lock spring channel will not be there . The design uses a small spring in the center of the slide lock channel as on their cl940v2. There is a bright orange card that says small spring included in package. That’s the slide lock spring. Glock offers a trigger housing for a gen 4 - 21sf is #5406 or a full size 21. The 5406 is the one you want
Correct. I've built one, this was the only issue I struggled with. Once together I've swapped the 10 mm barrel and shoots without any other mods but many recommend a stronger RSA if shooting lots of 10 mm through it. I'm very happy with it.

You dont need the plastic trigger housing pin 1774 because the pf45 kit comes with one. The kit also includes an identical pin that holds the front of the locking block rail system. These 2 pins are 3mm diameter and similar to the oem locking block pin but without the recessed center. Thank you Chas
so if i have the lower PF45 frame , what else do i need to complete the build?

You'll need a frame parts kit, magazine, slide, barrel, and slide parts kit. And sights. Can't recall if the slide parts kit contains sights.

IIRC, the two differences in parts between the PF45 and standard G20/21 frame are the slide lock spring and the trigger housing needs modification. The P80 instructions explain the slide lock spring, but the instructions don't mention the trigger housing.

Marine Gun Builder has a good YT video on modifying the trigger housing.

Good luck.

I have been collecting bits and pieces for 3 months to do a few builds. I have a P45. I found this community to be VERY informative. Check them out Gunsmith | Marine Gun Builder there is a YouTube channels from the same community too.

Anyone tried the new 45/10mm frame from Polymer80? I have a G21 G3 along with a G20 G3 slide. I wouldn't mind the G20 slide having its own frame.

The only review I've seen thus far is on Midway USA for one star. The reviewer says the slide lock spring channel is missing, and a Glock trigger housing doesn't fit. Claims to be a certified Glock/1911 armorer.

I have high hopes for this frame but may consider a used 21 frame instead. I've seen stripped, used 21 frames for around $100. Of course, it would require a transfer. I'm sure if there are problems, P80 will get sorted out, but not sure I want to wait that long.

There's also the Lone Wolf Timberwolf large frame, but I haven't seen any reviews for it either.

5406 is correct. GLOCK Trigger Housing w/Ejector, Gen 4 | Brownells the PF45 uses the #5406 because it is actually a 'Slim Frame' and this was a good decision by p80. The new takedown spring is annoying when installing a gen3 lasermax guiderod. You gotta cut a notch in the polymer for the red tab on your lasermax.
I'm planning to install the gen3 lasermax guiderod into my pf45 frame. Do you have a pic showing what you had to do for the notch in the polymer for the red tab of the lasermax?

I considered the PF45 but it was much easier to purchase a Glock 21, which I recently did after putting it off for about 2 years. After almost 500 rounds in about a month and a half, has provided me with no issues and came fully assembled and complete right out of the box.

Now, I leave all things 80% for other people to waste parts and money on.

I built one and have run 200+ rounds through it. Shoots very well, no malfunctions. Easier to shoot and more accurate than my 1911 Commander, plus can hold more ammo!
I've got on PF45 frame with another on the way (as of last night). I haven't built one, yet. From what I understand, the trigger housing needs some modification to fit the frame. I figure to build one in .45-ACP and the other in 10-mm.

Unfortunately, the Marine Gun Builder forum was shut down by the owner. There is a new forum with many of the same very knowledgeable members. See link in my signature.

I recently built one as well, got a better price on the "Cobalt" color, which looks brown to me. I paired it with a Tungsten Rockslide w/ Venom optic cut and a LW barrel. I had read about the LW frame parts kit/trigger causing a problem, but have not had any with this build. I also used their slide completion kit. I'll note they offer two frame kits- the more expensive one comes with the locking block, which is not needed for the PF45. At the time I built mine, there were zero reasonably priced OEM triggers w/ bar, so the kit was the only way to build it.
