I need to decide quickly because I plan on ordering this week/ Please note that I will be using my suppressor on it so it MUST have a threaded barrel (1/2 X 28). Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

UPDATE.... I HAVE ORDERED THE KP-9!!! IT WILL BE HERE MID-WEEK!

Just be prepared if you go the CZ route, you're going too have to buy a bunch of upgrades for it to get it to where you want it.
Upgrades like what?

I was never one for the whole flashlight, laser, bazooka or whatever hanging off my guns!

All I need is my suppressor and a lot of extra magazines!

I really like my CZ, but find the AK interesting. If I were choosing one of the two I would get the CZ again since I know it and trust it. I will not consider the AK until it has been around a while.

Such as? I would call only the spring kit to be essential, everything else I’ve done has been personal preference. And it has run like a banshee from day one.

No disrespect intended, but I simply cannot for the life of me understand why anyone places a time constraint on a firearm purchase, especially if there's no immediate emergency or purposeful reason for being in such a hurry. Is it because you're Jones'n for sumpthin', or?

When I can't decide on something I don't ask for other people's advice, nor do I buy whichever costs less, or whatever's in immediate reach; I instead drop the whole idea of buying anything so I can do more research and make as educated a decision as possible, and when my research leads me to that something that I'm looking for but isn't available, I hold onto my pursestrings and have patience until it IS available, and then I proceed.

It took me a couple of years worth of impulse buying to finally come to the realization that such purchases more often than not led to disappointment and lost funds. Yep I thought they were a good idea at the time and I just had to have them (their qualities were "enhanced" by the $$ burning a hole in my pocket), but in reality they ended up being novelties that wore off surprisingly quick. I've since reduced such instances of disappointment to zero!

So have some patience and do your due diligence; you'll reduce or eliminate your chances of disappointment and getting hosed ;)

I have the Scorpion. The only needed upgrade, in my opinion, are the safety levers. It's a cheap and easy fix with the mini AK style ones from HB Industries. Some people complain about the grip and trigger but I didn't find them to be a hindrance to shooting the weapon well. It's crazy fun to shoot and cool looking to boot.

Personally, I don't like the ergonomics of the cz.

Have sbr scorpion at the shop, factory sbr kusa, and kusa with brace.

I'd take the ak all day. The brace version is nice even. Not as cool looking as a triangle folder but just as functional.

People say to get the psa because of the scorpion mags. Imo it's a slight against them. Kusa takes factory Russian mags, which most ak enthusiasts would want at least one or two of.

The only reason imo to get the psa is because it's cheaper. The kusa is a pretty good clone of the real deal.

...and if he does he'll be out a grand total of maybe $100. It's an extremely cost effective platform and all the parts are plug n play.

Don't have to worry about that because I have already ordered the KP 9!

I still chose the stock kp9!

The Evo looks like a great gun but I don't think it's going to tickle my fancy right now!

I have my wife for that! :) LOL

I’m not bashing it. Just sharing the common thread of reviews I’ve seen across the Internet.

That common thread is the fact that it takes significant additional expense to get the gun to where it needs to be.

Since I don’t own one, I don’t know the specifics of what it consists of, but the feedback is clear and consistent. Since I’ve taken the time to read a lot of reviews, I thought I would share with him the benefit of my time investment.

I’m sorry you feel that reviewers opinions should be hidden from prospective buyers.

I have yet to hear somebody say that about the Extar or several other competitors.
I don't know where you are getting your "common thread" of internet reviews, but you sound kind of typical of what gives internet reviews the rap "don't believe what you read on the net".
My CZ is just plastic and metal to me and if it was bad I'd be the first to say so. As others who actually own them have told you, they don't require much and what they do require is fast and cheap. As everyone has told you, the trigger spring is cheap and fast. The safety selector bothers some people and is also a cheap and easy fix. I changed my grip only to help with the SBR compliance, otherwise I was fine with the grip. Either way, it was cheap.
So if you choose to install all these parts you will be out around $100, and I don't know anyone who would say the CZ is not totally reliable.

If you would really like to educate yourself you can go to HB industries and see for yourself what these parts cost and maybe watch a video to see what installing them involves. Or, you can keep spreading nonsense.
