I never said that the thread should get taken down at all just that one huge thread may not be the best format. No hair off my but either. It is what it is.
Fair enough. :) Saying "end" to me implied it should go away; your intent was that it simply stop or discontinue growth. I gotcha :)

Am I the only person that thinks that this thread should end? 900+ responses makes it nearly impossible to look for information plus multiple topics have been covered. Impractical to say the least.

It's like having a single thread for the Glock 19..........I vote we give that a try........;)
I respectfully disagree (free country, and rational minds can civilly do that, right?).

The reason I DO like the thread is that when I see it I can click it and instantly pick up on where I left off reading. It is a story. The updates to the title let us know when a shift in direction is coming.

Having everything in one thread from beginning to end prevents one from having to find and then leap from thread to thread to get the full story. Having to trace unconnected dots in a storyline will result in missed topics, unconnected dots, and just a basic hassle!

I can see why some might feel it is clunky and hard to search. I agree. But I also think it is pretty commonly known on this forum that for info on the RXM, reading this thread will catch you up on pretty much everything from first impressions, to manufacturing issues, to support, to modifications and updates on Ruger and Mecgar's updates. I like having it all in one place, in one continuous tome. It is only useful for a new launch (it wouldn't make sense for the G19, and won't make sense for the RXM in a year).

I would love to see the thread keep expanding and evolving over time.

Others can and will disagree with me, and I respect that. But I like it!

He gets it, and articulates it eloquently and flawlessly. :D :)

WHERE IS THE POST OF THE GUN EXPLODING?!?! I WASTED 20 MINUTES SKIMMING THIS WHOLE THREAD!

Reactions: PilatusTurbo
Like the OP, I was impressed with this. I handled one recently and it is ergonomically much better than the gen 3. Feature rich and ready out of the box, Ruger did great. I own a few Rugers. Ruger Pc9, LCR 38+P, Ruger Blackhawk in 30 carbine

all on my “never sell or trade” list. I’d probably add this one if I didn’t already have a G45 5, a 19X and a smith equalizer (I love that one so much)

So the dip-shtick OP on Reddit titles the thread that the RXM exploded when it was the ammo that was errant and caused the damage.
The design and material of the RXM frame actually saved his hand!
Some people are so stupid you wonder if they've ever successfully completed a wet dream.

I had a kaboom in a 43X with reman ammo. Blew out the round chamber indicator and failed to extract. The casing was split and the bullet squibbed. My gunsmith had it repaired in 5 mins. And yes, the gun did exactly what it was supposed to do.

I looked and looked for that. I thought the OP had demolished a gun and would provide lots of information, but here it is some stranger on reddit.
I edited the thread title. It was over 45 pages. I'll amend the title to show post #.

I hope this is the last thread on earth, the one to surpasses all others.
I hope it is not vexxing you, too!

Glock gen 3 parts are compatible. Or just call Ruger and ask
Not all Gen 3 parts are compatible within the Ruger RXM. The trigger bar, trigger spring, trigger shoe, and connector are generally compatible. The RXM uses a proprietary trigger housing so it will work without the use of a trigger housing pin as it is held in by the FCU chassis. However, not all of the Ghost connectors will work with every trigger shoe. With some short pull short reset triggers and the Ghost connectors, you just get a squirt gun trigger since the shallow angle will not allow the cruciform to disconnect from the striker lug.

I do convert some RXM's to be completely Gen 3-5 compatible and even have a GPT in one but that takes a bit of work to accomplish. It was worth it though as my RXM with the GPT is much nicer than you can get with the Ruger trigger housing. The GPT in the FrankenRuger gives a very light short pull and short reset. I haven't measured it yet, but I would guess around 3 lbs.

See, this is more very relevant information.

My plan is to go through this thing, page by page, and create a index of sorts on the first page. Pages and perhaps even post numbers for all kinds of pertinent information. :)
