Seems there may be QC cuts as well. The newer stuff does not seem to be machined as well as the earlier generations. More use of plastic like in the nose of the new 17L, to me, feels like cost cutting measures. Anytime a new CEO comes in, they look for low lying fruit to improve margins. Probably no different with Glock and their leadership. The problem is if consumers see the cost cutting measures they can be turned off and leave the brand. I had some issues that I won’t go into but there are certain parts from them I will no longer purchase due to, in my opinion, poor QC.
I can't help but think of Vista Outdoors' stripping of quality and value from Remington and Marlin among others. When the business model entails only cutting quality to grow margins, eventually, the brand dies. I only hope that our doom-and-gloom conjecture is that alone. Glock had better pay attention. Brand loyalists looking to turn away is a sign that they need to clarify things ASAP and prepare to abandon any possible plans of value stripping.

Quite frankly, I would rather she just sit back and collect checks than stick her hands into the business if she only plans to loot and destroy the company.

It’s ridiculous to speculate what her intentions are. Unless someone has inside info to management meeting it’s poor speculation.
With the competition as it is today Glock is on the back foot already, regardless of what Mrs Glock does. They simply need to improve. They were on the decline before Gaston left.

Of course I knew that, and I don't believe anyone here hates women. I know I certainly don't. I think most Glock fans are just concerned or curious about the future of the company. Most of us know how this woman became Gaston`s wife and her motivation is rightfully suspect. There's nothing misogynist about that.
Unless you hold stock in the company, are an employee, or a family member, why would it matter? If she were to close the doors tomorrow and sell off all the assets the only people it directly effects are the employees, for the fanbois, it's just an inconvenience. ;)

I disagree. Past behavior, actions, and deeds, are good indicators of future behavior, actions, and deeds.

There's plenty of competition today with Glock. It's time to stop sitting on their laurels and come out with handguns that people want: newer and smaller double stack 9mms and 380s that are in demand today.

I'm not even going to waste my time speculating what is going at Glock. We'll never ****ing know. I learned that lesson after an actual Glock "insider", told me he had personally shot the Glock carbine and it would be coming to market in 2004.

If their guns turn to **** their are plenty of options.

Smaller double stack 380s?

I figured that when I saw engineer in your screen name , but you were right about me anyway . I’m just a country boy that barely made it through high school and I have never been around people that talk like that . That’s why I barely made it out of high school . In my senior year , we got a college professor that decided to leave college and teach English . He talked like that . I barely passed English that year .
Cold, hard, fact. Education does NOT equal intelligence.

Glock was very innovative 25 years ago and has excelled in marketing. But Glock has reached a point where it can no longer rest on its laurels. It’s time to streamline the line as well as get innovative and introduce some new guns.
So far , all you have to do is change the " Gen " number and people rush out to add one to their collection . I guess that won't work forever though .

That’s so true. Take S&W for instance, instead of announcing a new Generation, they increase the dot number (ex: 19.4 to 19.5). No big announcement, it just happens. I have to think part of the big deal with Glock Generations stems from the Gen 3 and the California roster. The only reason the Gen 3 is still in production is because of the California market.
