I love using the big boys for sure! It's a true trade off.
For sure. I haven't found a red dot that was big enough to be uncomfortable or cause printing when IWB. I also haven't tried anything unreasonably big though.

Aimpoint COA Window Size: 0.59″ x 0.59″

Holosun SCS Window Size: 0.58" x 0.77"

The benefit of the COA over the SCS is the enclosed emitter.
IMO the COA "ain't it" but the excitement and hype is driving people's interest. Right now it's a 1k+ investment for the sight because you have to buy the whole package.
When they eventually offer the COA by itself... You either have a big silly plate or a custom milled slide that can't fit anything else.

At that point, why wouldn't someone just use one of the many existing sights that work great and have more widely used footprints that are already available? RMR on full size is the standard. Holosun K on micro is a standard and there are no shortage of optics that fit any need and with any size someone desires.

There's no compelling reason for it unless someone just wanted a new gun and really wanted that optic.

I like the COA system, but i was ultimately hoping it would be a replacement for the MOS models. I would have done the securing plate in front of the optic and kept the rear with a standard dovetail sight.

It's obvious the COA guns are the apple of Glock. You will use this optic and these sights, period. There will be no third party parts on this gun.

On another note, we have moved from making smaller CCW weapons, to adding as much **** on them as possible, completely negating the fact of trying to get them smaller and easier to conceal and carry.

This is apparently the new standard for the concealed weapon in 2025.

They're really on the "streets" at $899 which isn't an expensive price for a pistol with no sight these days.

If you're Glock guy, this is just another pistol in your Glock stable. I spent more on 2 glocks in the last month or so that the price of this set up.

That said, I'm not buying one of these because I'm a G22 shooter. I don't need or want a 9mm pistol.

Yeah I guess if you're a glock guy and you're okay with taking up space with multiples of the same thing. Makes sense for that person.

I picked up the 48 locally for $840. I really like it. Haven’t shot it yet, but just practicing drawing etc around the house I really like it. Much smaller than a Acro P2. I’d like to pick up the G45 version as well.
That's really a great price if the COA is all that it's supposed to be. I was sure Aimpoint was going to make the sight $800 alone based on their Effed up prices on their other sights.

Very attractive pricing. Pretty much getting an Aimpoint for Holosun pricing. The double stacks look like they are selling for $940 locally, but no stock at the moment.

It’s such a good deal and I know aimpoint makes great dots but dang that optic is so big. Have you carried it yet to notice if there is a difference in printing?
It's the same width as a 507K and only slightly taller. Your biggest issue concealing is the grip on any gun, not an attachment north of the slide. In this case, there's no noticable difference between this gun and the 507K on my 48 MOS.

I understand the grip is the main point of printing I can also see my optic ever so slightly with my eps and eps carry. No big deal really. I also realize this optic is bigger but it only give the illusion of sitting higher because of how deep the optic cut is.
