This past weekend I had the distinct honor and pleasure of visiting TNOutdoors9 and spending some "quality time" with him on his personal range.

Besides being a blazing fast shot (at 20 yards, without missing once, he emptied 10 rounds from his stock Glock 19 onto a full-size IDPA steel target in 1.15 seconds on video), he presented to me a most thoughtful and generous gift labelled: ''In this box resides the answer to every question ever put forth on Caliber Corner.''

Do you have a link for that vid? I didn't see it on his site.

Did you and TNOutdoors9 have any issues with Renegade lawnmowers terrorizing the area? I know they have been an issue in the past for him. Be careful out there.

My biggest concern in those woods these days is mountain lions. Seriously. I spotted one last summer crossing the road as I was driving to the property west of Nashville.

We live in the woods in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. Right now the most dangerous thing we deal with are rattlesnakes. We lost a man in these hills a couple of years ago whose heart could not take the venom. There are Black Bear here but they usually stay up on top of the mountains. Mountain Lions are to be respected but dealt with if necessary. I’m sure you have the technology for such a task.

These males come down once a year around late September but they have one thing on their minds….

I got within 20yds of one about 300yds from occupied homes when I was checking for deer/hog sign on my property. I thought it was a deer at first because of the coat color but after seeing the tracks and talking to neighbors, they're out here.. They're so quiet and move through mesquites like nothing while being very quick. I switched from 9mm to .40 for my woods carry the next day.

Another request, where is link to video? Apparently the video that was up has been removed.

.12 split times is Jerry M. territory.

Jerry shoots that fast with a revolver. Met him face to face in 2015 and like shaking hands with a blacksmith. I turned around to M7 and mentioned that was the fastest I had ever shot the 19. Just knew it. Gen3 OEM trigger and connector, OEM plastic RSA. Posted on YT but made it private after a few hours then removed it from the platform altogether.

Screenshots:

At 4th shot with 3 pieces of brass in the air.
Timeline from the video board: Audio peaks at 00:00 first shot, 00:05, 00:11, 00:15, 00:20, 00:24, 00:29, 01:04, 01:09, and 01:14 seconds. The audio track is wonky between :30 and 1 second but the actual total was 1:14 seconds.

You're much faster than I.

The best that I could do with my 2008 Gen. 3 Glock 17L was 0.22 splits with two cases in the air:

Jerry Miculek, I ain't. ;)

Perhaps I needed more lube.

Pretty sure you didn't shoot 7 rounds in the first second then 3 more in the next 0.14 seconds.

That 1;14 doesn't mean 1.14 seconds, it means 1 second and 14 frames (and the time line is 30 frames per second), so your total time was just shy of 1.5 seconds.

Your split times were roughly 5 frames (0.16 seconds).

Frame rate is actually 60 per second, however, you are correct on the total timeline. I'm counting 88 frames in the string, so that calculates to 10 shots/hits in 1.467 seconds. So now I'm thinking that my shooting really sucks and I need more practice.

Back to the original topic from the OP. Lots of expanded rounds, bullet types etc. in the box. Some empty spaces. One or more, possibly all of those spaces could in concept be "reliability of your ammo, consistency, accuracy and speed", which is where this thread seems to have ended up. Even so, there are some things that are "unknowable". So hopefully this exercise solves the enigma of Caliber Corner. Thanks for playing!
