Everyone,

For those of you that have a LCP2, which pocket holster do you recommend? I've been using the holster that came with the firearm, and it has seen better days.

Can anyone recommend possibly a kydex holster for the front right pocket?

I want an Alabama Pocket Holster for my little .380. They are kydex.

They can be slow shipping, though. If it looks too wide for your pocket, you can get them to make it more narrow.

Might be OK for a purse, but KYDEX for the pocket???
:dunno:
My pockets are too small for that one.

Then it wouldn't work in your pockets.

I don't understand your concerns about kydex. What's wrong with kydex in a pocket? Kydex can be thinner than a soft holster. And the OP specifically requested kydex.

I don't ever purse carry, so I don't know about using a pocket holster in a purse. I doubt most men's front pockets would be too small for the holster that fits an LCP. Those are tiny guns.

I only asked them about reducing the width because it's women's pockets that are often very small. They said they could if I wanted. I just haven't gotten around to ordering it yet.

Regardless, it was only a suggestion. OP wanted suggestions for a kydex pocket holster for his LCP, and that's what those are. A lot of people like Alabama holsters. He can decide whether to take a look at them or not.

Neldon,

Can you help me understand better? Why don't you like KYDEX for pocket holsters, is the size the only reason? I would think kydex would hold its curved shape better than leather & cloth and would be harder to see the pistol outline with kydex.

@lamelogin , soft materials are obviously more comfortable, but the main reason is ease of concealability - thinner and no outline. My LCP-II is fully concealed, easy to get to, and comfortable with the Ruger holster.
I like Sticky because it gives you better retention and more options; pocket plus IWB at 10, 2, and 4.
If you know a soft comfortable Kydex holster, I will look at it.
My preferred carry is a G33, OWB at 10:30, right-handed crossdraw for me, in a Black Hawk Serpa Level II (Kydex), so I am a bit of a Maverick.

Not really much size difference between my LCP Ruger supplied pocket holster and my Vedder PocketLocker.

The kydex holster is slightly less comfortable due to the rigidity. Vedder makes top notch products. The kydex is precisely molded and adds very little to the size of the gun.

It’s available with or without the push tab for your thumb. I like mine.
