To me the bigger issue is that they are lobbying for reinstatement of the AWB.You can never find a clerk that has the key to the ammunition lock anyway. I bought some 9MM from them, but it wasn't worth the wait. Buy bulk on line.
Never say always. Mail-order ammo would be easy to regulate or even ban next.Amarican marksman has some good deals too. Wall mart thinks they are 20% of the ammo market. Guess they don't know about mail order....lgs will get my small purchases but it will always be by mail for bulk
I can easily divert my spend from WalMart. Dick's Sporting Goods didn't offer anything I couldn't find elsewhere, and WalMart is the same. It can be more convenient to swing by (even though I usually prefer more local grocers or stores), but I can absolutely afford to be more selective in who I spend money with. I hereby pledge not to step into a WalMart for one month, to write them a letter, and to call all my elected politicians in D.C. to help offset WalMart's actions. In one month, I will re-evaluate.The 4 or 5 people that control Wal-Mart don't care about a minority of American consumers ( i.e super gun enthusiasts )they will take care of their, traditional deer and bird hunters and put more clothing to sell in the space formerly used by the banned gun stuff. And they will continue to prosper.

Good luck, thanks for the effort but doubt you'll get anything other than a form letter reply if you even get that.with. Kinda sucks for me, i usually buy alot of my plinkin stuff at walmart, because i cant find a place out of state that will ship ammo directly to me instead of a FFL dealer here in NY. None of the local FFL`s will lets us have ammo shipped to them, it pisses them off because you dont buy THEIR ammo. Every FFL dealer that has told me this, i told them LOWER YOUR GAWD DAMN PRICES, THEN I`LL BUY IT FROM YOU!!! Until then, screw you!Academy Sports.
I wish i could! I cant find any out of state ammo sellers to ship to my home address in NYYou can never find a clerk that has the key to the ammunition lock anyway. I bought some 9MM from them, but it wasn't worth the wait. Buy bulk on line.
Yep! My Ammunition Guys, without a doubt!!sgammo.com.
A boycott by every gun owner is in order... NATIONWIDE!!!The 4 or 5 people that control Wal-Mart don't care about a minority of American consumers ( i.e super gun enthusiasts )they will take care of their, traditional deer and bird hunters and put more clothing to sell in the space formerly used by the banned gun stuff. Aldi's routinely beats their prices. Kroger, etc. are also close, and the food quality trumps Walmart (good luck with that nice cut of beef at the Walmart butcher (that doesn't exist!). Amazon is giving them fits. We have lots of other options. Sure, Walmart is cheap. Try Amazon Pantry or Instant Cart (CVS, Walgreen's Costco, Target, Kroger, Publix all delivered to your home for reasonable fees).Good luck, thanks for the effort but doubt you'll get anything other than a form letter reply if you even get that.
I'll continue to patronize other parts of WM, they have so many other things that grocery stores don't have, I value the convenience and appreciate the aggressive pricing. Don
Walmart is asking for new renewal of the Assault Weapon Ban. So, how will that impact AR-15 manufacturing? This change in pistol ammo sales will be a boon to the local small businesses who load anmo. They may not be below Wal-Mart prices but they can beat the prices of the giant ammo companies.
In ,the past the USA saw a rise ,in American made semi auto rifles after the ban on foreign military rifles went into effect. There are stateside companies making and selling military style rifles today that would not be here today if not for that ban.
Look at this as another opportunity for American small businesses to grab their part of the ring. These skills should not rest only with the billionaire corporations.

That's real noble but we'll just buy it somewhere else. Maybe they should quit selling tobacco and alcoholic products also which kill many more folks than their ammo does.
^^ ^ ^ ^ ^ THIS. As always, the logic in these statements is spot on. We have all heard these comparisons before, and they are accurate. Then maybe they should also stop selling cigarettes and alcohol, since they are so concerned about peoples safety. Can you say politically correct hypocrites.
^ ^ ^ Yes, I have always taken note of that idea out there by the loonies. It would be quite easy to push.......Never say always. Mail-order ammo would be easy to regulate or even ban next.
In the last 10 years or so, I've only seen two boxes of .22LR at a Walmart in any of the Southeastern states that I frequent, from east Texas to the Gulf and Atlantic coasts and up to Kentucky and I bought one. No loss for me.Does this mean Wally is no longer a source for .22 LR for people who buy it up so they can mark it up for resale?
Target and their pro trans/gay attitudes, worse than Walmart. None of Aldi's, Publix or Kroger exist in our market area. Thanks for the heads up on Amazon Pantry, my wife's a great cook but would be nice to get more options.Aldi's routinely beats their prices. Kroger, etc. are also close, and the food quality trumps Walmart (good luck with that nice cut of beef at the Walmart butcher (that doesn't exist!). Amazon is giving them fits. If people don't vote with their dollars, there are no consequences to be anti-gun. Kroger and Walmart stood up to anti-gunners and simply let prevailing law dictate... until now! You may as well start buying 10-round magazines, and realize you will be restricted from buying or selling AR-15's.
As for replies or personal letters, I expect none. Doesn't matter! BUT, if Walmart hears from 100,000 people like me, AND sees a drop in revenue BEYOND the drop they expect by discontinuing certain sales, they will respond. However, if they get very few letters and their revenue remains unchanged, they will assume it is quote safe to actively support gun control, and continue to push for new, restrictive gun laws ("gun owners will fall in line and still shop with us, we are safe!").
I do get letters back from my Congressman and Senators. Most are absolutely form letters, but you know what? The person who sent it to me ALSO put another check mark in their box tracking active input into legislation. If they get a huge response, they know it is an issue they need to be careful of (people who write letters VOTE!). And the position who garners the most check boxes wins your elected official's voting position. No letters, no impact. Lots of letters, lots of impact. It is as simple as that.
Based upon the general reactions here, I am beginning to feel like a second AWB getting passed is almost a foregone conclusion... many gun owners seem to be pretty much okay with it.
