Advantage arms now sells magazine parts. Anyone modify their mags with new parts to get more capacity? How about cutting down a 25 round mag?Hi I've been away for a while and I'm the op of the post you link to. If you go to

you can read what was done for 13 rnd mags back in 2009. Also There's a few other tricks I learned along the way. Look especially at posts 49 & 54 and work down from there
I just wish the stock 10 rounder would hold more....not to mention that HUGE 25 rounder that could hold a hundred or more.Advantage arms now sells magazine parts. Anyone modify their mags with new parts to get more capacity? How about cutting down a 25 round mag?

Thanks for the heads up leadslinger13!i recently posted to another thread about this. i own a glock 20 with the AA 22lr top end. i purchased the 26 magazine plug and it gave me 13 rounds per mag without any modification. I tested each mag three times and they functioned flawlessly. I only use remington bulk pack gold bullets. I have tried others but the remingtons seem to provide flawless performance. Now i need to order a couple more for my two other mags.
i also tried the 26 follower but the design was far too different. Next i thought if i could modify the lower end of the stock AA follower i could get a couple more rounds. I checked the mag spring with the 26 mag plug and the stock AA spring was at full compression so nothing would be gained by modifiying the follower without experimenting with different springs. I am sure that a couple of rounds could be had with different springs but i am happy with the 13 rounds and the ease/cost of switching out the magazine plugs.
Every bulk pack of Remington Golden Bullets that I've ever bought & used has been hollow points (36 grain). Are the remington bullets hollow points? Thats all i can find in the golden bullets?
Back in 09 I had to make my own shorter plungers for 13 rnd. mags. Since I had access to a borrowed 26 mag I got to see what was needed to do to make a 26 follower fit. But back then A.A. believed that we were all subjects of kalifornia and it's ten round rule, so they wouldn't sell you mag parts, just do exchanges, so I gave up on that idea.i also tried the 26 follower but the design was far too different.
