The regular Z-AK's are plenty robust enough already (designed for grenade launching). This in semi-auto is overkill.

 

I was going to order one and thought nah, it’s just another M70 except with that cool longer barrel with the cooling fins. Seems like a waste in semi-auto although it’s still cool but I’m happy with my two Zpaps.

I did order another WBP rifle though. I can’t get enough of those. Light, handy, arguably just as tough as the M70 without the extra weight and refined and finished in a way that Zastava can’t touch

It is a forced reset trigger kit. At this stage it is not drop in. It has to be tailored to your rifle. But, there are some folks with the Yugo RPK that have it installed and it works as intended. I won't direct you to any demonstrations, but they are on the old internet and elsewhere.

The only drawback is, you may or may not be able to manipulate the trigger for semi fire. So, if you install the FRT kit, your rifle is now pretty much only safe and simulated select-fire (auto).

Word on the street is, someone, somewhere is trying to develop a 3 position (safe, semi, auto) FRT kit for the Kalashnikov rifle. I am not going to hold my breath for that one.

Hey, at least the AK rifle has something available. The AR platform is fortunate at this point with the Hoffman style Super Safety.
