Just bought a Shadow MR 920 Elite, it is predrilled for the following red dots, if you have one of these or have experience with one or more, let me know
Holosun 407c : 507c
Leupold Delta Point Pro
Shield: RMSc
Sig: Romeo Pro 1
Swampfox:Liberty: Justice
Trijicon: RMR, SRO,
Truglo: Trutec
Vortex Viper
Thanks

I also went with the RMR. Based on the info out there, it's the best hard-use pistol red dot, although the Holosun 507 seems to be a close second. I had my G19 slide milled so it's sits lower than it would on a MOS version.

The DPP is a nice optic, too. Large window, top load battery; I liked the amber triangle reticle. However, it's a pretty thick optic (too thick, IMO) and you would need super tall suppressor height sights for any chance of co-witness. (Leupold does make a rear iron that mounts to the optic, but you'd still need to source a front sight).

I don't have any experience with the Holosun, but the large, circle-dot reticle is appealing. They also make a version (ACSS Vulcan reticle) that has a huge circle that helps guide/steer you into the center dot when presenting, making it faster to acquire the target and save precious fractions of a second. I don't know if they're actually available yet, though. That would be the one I would get if I got a Holosun.

I guess I would ask the use to start.

I have a lot of experience with the RMR and about 6000 rounds experience with the DPP, personally. My context is USPSA carry optics and law enforcement. Both slide ride applications for the dot. Professionally I have had many DPP come across my bench and only 1 RMR. I recommend the RMR for serious use.

There are only 2 that I would consider; the RMR and Holosun (although I've owned a couple of others). I've never had an issue with either. For the money, you can't beat the Holosun. If money wasn't an issue and for the long-term good track record, then the RMR. BTW, congrats on the MR920, it is a great pistol.

I have been using two Swampfox Justices in competition and they have been perfect.
The price is awesome if you qualify for the Veterans/Military/LEO discount.
I shoot a lot of matches, IDPA and USPSA and I SO/RO at most of them, three or four times a month, and regardless of brand I have never seen a Red Dot break.
I have seen a battery cover come loose several times and cause intermittent dot but that is all.

Holosun with the vulcan reticle. In my opinion they have left Trijicon in the dust. The Trijicon may be a bit more rugged, but this new Holosun has features that surpass Trijicon's RMR. Only problem is they are not available anywhere right now. I suggest looking at some of the reviews on YouTube.
