My range now has a Glock 36 for rental, so I get to try out the evil pistol tomorrow and see what all the hate is about. Gonna pit against my XDS 45 and see which one wins from 7 and 10 and 15 yards. Would do more, but I have to buy their ammo when I use a rental. The upside is they only charge $6.

I have to guess that the GAP models may be some of the least produced Glocks but I have heard of very few problems with those out there. I do wonder which model has the highest return or failure rate.

They haven't made a dud yet, at least not in .357sig/.40/9mm/.45. I'm not a fan of the ammo capacity of the 36. Other than that, they're all good to go.

Think he meant sales dud. I agree all those Glocks function well and are quite reliable.

You ain't gonna believe this. They had to send it back for repair. I kid you not. I looked at the G30, but didn't rent it because it's just too thick for me. Didn't feel right.

I tried the G30 at the range one time. Shot really nice, however it was way too thick for me as a CCW.

in my humble opinion (and I know that I will get flamed) I think any model that carries the .45GAP. I just never saw the point... :wow:

I tried the G30 at the range one time. Shot really nice, however it was way too thick for me as a CCW.

And I need another 45 for my carry rotation. I am hoping the G36 will end up fitting the bill. Guess I'll have to wait till my range gets theirs back to shoot one. I don't know anyone that has one.

Not surprising. Range guns get beat to heck, and are usually not well maintained. This happens to most brands.
