3" S&W 650 22 Magnum / 22LR

Yup, designed as a WMR but a spare 22lr cylinder could be ordered
A very few special order sets were shipped from the factory with both cylinders S/N matched
Bought my first set back in the 80's and it took me some four decades to find a second set NIB

The ultimate "Kit Gun" IMO
Beautiful looking and beautifully shooting
I've been known to carry one for SD on occasion

TX22 Standard (non-competition model)

Great ergos, runs like a sewing machine, inexpensive ammo, high capacity (16-round mags) and only 20 oz loaded.
Yeah, I got a couple of those too, kinda big but I use them to teach new shooters. I like the P17 better though.

Pistol or revolver?

And WHY?
My Pathfinder 22 that I purchased many years ago. Marked - Charter Arms Corp. Stratford Conn.

I purchased the Pathfinder at a time that I did not have a lot of money. I wanted a 22 for teaching the kids and plinking etc.

They may not be the finest handguns but they still get the job done. ;)

I've had a bunch. Right now all I have is my Kimber rimfire target (1911 style).

I'd have to say my favorite was my S&W 422. Ate anything, deadly accurate, low bore axis and nice styling. So many of the newer 22's especially the striker fired ones have strange lines to me.

Not sure why I sold it. Dumb.

My Ruger Standard (MKI), gifted to me by my dad when I was young. he bought it in the early 50's. Still got it. I've owned a couple newer models (MKII's). Still have one of them.

One that I really regret seeing go away was a Ruger Bearcat I couldn't talk my dad out of parting with, even though he loaned it to me a lot for field plinking. I really liked that little .22 SA with the unfluted cylinder. It provided many hours of fun plinking, including shooting little fast-darting lizards using .22 Shorts.
