They (Aguila SE) were the 2nd best in my Marlin 60, but were substantially cheaper than the Fiocchi, so I got them whenever I saw a deal. If some of mine turn out to be of those lots, it could be a big loss with those failures. Could trade them or use them in my bolt gun.
Yeah, definitely.

I found that my 10/22 is a lot less picky than my Mark IV. The Aguila runs better in the 10/22 than Mark IV.

I have a Buckmark UDX with a 5.5" slab side barrel and have since gotten a 4" TacSol threaded barrel for it. Never done any other mods.

Also have a Mk IV 22/45 Lite that out of the box needed a Volquartsen accurizing kit (which in turn required a VQ firing pin to be reliable) and a Dawson front sight for me to really like it.

I feel like out of the box the particular model Buckmark I have is the nicer gun with the better trigger, but the Ruger is, by far, mostly what I shoot since I got it. Suppressor ready from the factory, light, and the VQ trigger is awesome.

Both run like dog **** with Aguila SV. Most anything else runs like a dream.

Yup, Aguila is a **** show out of my Mark IV, sadly. I have often a misfire/failure to eject per mag with Aguila. CCI so far has had zero failures across three different types. My Mark IV is a beautiful gun. But, I am sad it is picky apparently with ammo, which isn't unique to this gun in the sense I've heard of other guns being picky.

Aguila SV will not even try to eject in the Buckmark frequently, get stuck in the chamber, and you have to use a knife or something to pry the case out.

I thought the wax was building up in the Ruger mags causing rounds not to get picked up, but even a thorough deburring, polishing, and cleaning of the mags didn't help. Generally, I think the Buckmark mags are better quality than the Ruger. They're also around double the cost of Ruger mags.

Yeah, i have changed my mind on Aguila.

It kinda defeated the purpose of buying a bunch to have extra .22 during the ammo shortage though. If i ever am in a
TEOTWAWKI situation I guess I'll just have to use up my mini-mags and then pray for the best with the aguila ;).

I only have experience with Aguila Subsonic (bolt guns only) and Std Velocity. The high velocity jacketed stuff is probably serviceable and likely works much better in semi autos.

However I have ran Aguila SV and CCI SV over a chrono, and they're within 10 FPS of each other out of the 2 pistols I mentioned, but I can't recall anytime I've ever had a malfunction with CCI SV out of any semi auto. Out of my 10/22 the Aguila will also drag in the magazine and rounds won't get picked up.

I'm not hurting for .22, but do regret in the summer before the '16 election I sold over 5k rounds of various Remington HV .22s, that I've actually never had much of a problem with, at a profit to fund a couple cases of Aguila SV because I liked that I can keep the Aguila subsonic out of my rifles for shooting suppressed. I prefer to shoot bulk pack out of my pistols, but have been trying to just shoot up most of the Aguila.

I have mostly high velocity Aguila, and it has the same problem out of my Mark IV. In fact, it's primarily that which I am citing.

CCI generally has run flawlessly, but mostly mini-mags. I used those to establish that it wasn't a gun issue inherently as in failure across ammo brands. So high velocity Aguila, very close to high velocity mini mags, is failing. CCI I think is just manufactured to a higher standard.
