Interesting, when loaded you mean? I just tried it with the 13 and it was fine, but, unloaded.
Loaded 13 rd mag.I'm waiting for a spring and follower from SW.They deny there's a problem.Rumor is they have remanufactured the follower, which also was denied by CS this week but are sending me 2 followers so why are you sending me those if there's no problem. Sorry I'm just ticked with SW.The mag needs a tiny bit of length to resolve the situation. There are two threads on this on other forums,SW forum and The High Road.

I hope your issue gets resolved with SW CS. Sorry to hear about the challenge. Keep us posted on if it gets fixed. I’ll have to test out my 13 round mag at the range. Crossing my fingers here

I took my Shield Plus out today and fired about another 50 through it. It is a good shooting handgun for the size/weight. The trigger wants to run fast, it is really a big upgrade over the older model.
Nice! Yeah, the last time I rented one, I ran it side by side with the 1.0. While the 1.0 held up, the Plus is clearly more refined especially the trigger.

Mine is hard to insert the full 13 rd mag with the slide closed then even more difficult to rack the slide with that full mag, Hope yours is different.
This ought to loosen up some, I'd guess. My 43X would act the same way. It would not fire 10+1 1/3'rd of the time. Now, it does 10+1 reliably, and I can now fit 11 in Glock's 10 round mag when it used to be difficult to just insert 10 rounds.

It took about 800-1000 rounds to make this happen. You could get some dummy rounds and simulate this somewhat.

I think loading and uoading the mags helps a lot. Reducing friction and resistance through exercising the spring and breaking in the floor sides of the follower is what helps greatly, I think.

I had a 1.0 that was a gem the 2.0 should be a gem plus!
Many people regret getting rid of their 1.0. I'm keeping mine. There's no reason to get rid of a 100% reliable gun that I won't get much money from. The only reason I'll likely get rid of it is if someone close to me wants it, such as my brother who doesn't have a firearm.

Same here...a neighbor new to EDC lusted after it, with a ctc green laser to boot...i let him have it as a part of my exit strategy to decrease stock so wife is not burdened with disposal...he loves it!

The gun shoots fine it's just the loading into the mag well and hitting the stripper rail with all that pressure that is so hard. The gun with the 13 rd magazine has been loaded since I bought it 6 mo ago. It took over night for the 13th rd to fit in. To insert the magazine I use the heel of my hand and push hard for it to click into place. No the issue is the mag was not engineered the right length.I'm guessing an 1/8-1/4" longer things would be normal like all other sem's racking the slide to load the first rd.Yes I could start with the slide back then slingshot the first rd but sometimes that isn't desired.

I bought that kit as well with the Performance Center Plus. The trigger won’t reset after firing a round. If I rack a new round it will fire. Why it won’t fire after the empty shell is ejected I have no idea. I’m pretty disappointed that I have to send back a brand new PC shield. Ive had 5 other M&P’s and never had an issue. I also had an issue with their rebate ( of course ). When I put in the info it keeps telling me I have the wrong serial number. This is the first disappointing S&W purchase I’ve ever had.

Well got the follower's,no spring, today and after 10x trying to make the new follower work I gave up and will call CS tomorrow. The new follower is shorter than the old one but will only load 11 rds no matter what I do, even with a mag loader I can't squeeze in 12.

Sorry to hear. I have 4 of the 13rd mags and they all load and work as expected. Yes, loading a full mag into the pistol with a closed slide is still a bit challenging. But I can tell they've all broken in some since new.

Perhaps the mag body or baseplate itself is defective. Hopefully S&W fixes it for you.

Mine were the same way when new, I still have one that refuses to load the thirteenth round but they do loosen up. I just filled them as much as possible using a mag loader and left them that way until the next range visit everytime. It only took a few visits before they loosened up. All but the one can be fully loaded by hand now.

I don't expect any charges as far as loading with the slide closed goes, doesn't really bother me though. The magazines not loading fully did bug me but it's not that big a deal since they loosened up with use.

All my thirteen round mags needed loaded with twelve, and after sitting a day or two they took the thirteenth. I have ten of them.
I've had 13 in the mag for months just can't insert the mag in the gun then rack the slide not normal with any other gun I've ever owned or handled.

Doc don't get scared think of how many are out there. Mine has the problems I spoke about but the gun shoots fine in every way just the mag situation.

Guys, I took it out for a whirl! True to your points, by hand the 13 rounder only took 12. I didn’t try super hard, but it was a lot of resistance. I’ll try loading it and leaving it for a while.

I put 70 rounds through it. With zero failures. The slide was a bit stiff to rack with mags loaded but no malfunctions, thankfully. This and 1.0 pics were first couple mags slow fire, as later I shot a .380 pocket pistol on same targets and did some rapid fire.

5-7 yards:

I also fired my 1.0 (30 rounds) to compare. Also zero failures. Honestly the main differences is the Plus does have a better trigger, and obviously higher cap.
