Thoughts on Sig P320 vs P365 Comparison?

I recently read a comparison between the Sig P320 and P365, and it got me thinking about which one would be a better fit for me. Both seem like solid handguns, but the P320 seems more versatile with the modularity, while the P365 is appealing for its compact size, especially for concealed carry.
The comparison covered everything from ergonomics, capacity, and performance, but I’d love to hear from folks who have hands-on experience with both. Do you think the P365’s smaller size is worth the trade-off in capacity and customization that the P320 offers? How about reliability and accuracy—any noticeable differences between the two?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and personal experiences. Thanks!

I've owned both and the P365 shoots so well I have no need for a 320.

I literally shoot my P365X about as well as P320 X5 Legion. The difference in recoil is almost imperceptible and the difference in accuracy is imperceptible.

I carry the P365 X everyday as it replaced a Staccato C2 for EDC.

YMMV.

Both are solid and reliable platforms. The P365 series can be as small or as large as you want. Right now my P365XL has 17+1 capacity. Basically they can range from 10 round mags up to 21 round mags. As far as grip size it can be a true Micro-9 up to a service size pistol. So lots of options to fit what you want.

Really the P365 line has a lot of available options for the customer. Standard P365 for the small Micro-9 niche. The X for the next size up. XL for another bump on slide length. The Macro and now the fuse (I haven't handled one yet but looks like it's getting into service pistol size). And capacity options for 10, 12, 15, 17 and 21 rounds. And of course it's kinda like a lego in that you can mix and match the FCU in different frames and slides.

I'd like to see the Fuse offered with a MS and Xray night sights.

I have 3 365s, and I like the way they fit into my CCW uses. The 365 Legion is a bit larger than the other 2, pretty close in size to my G19, smaller than my 320, but feels better in my hand. I like several aspects of the Sig better than the other 2 (and for the price difference I should!). Comparing the P365 (smaller version), it is way smaller than the 320 or the G19, much easier to conceal, close to the same capacity and price as a G19 (with the larger magazine). I like it as a daily carry (have had it for 4 years now) and can shoot it very well.

To me the 320 is more like my G45 in size and purpose. I like the size and options for a full size weapon, and consider it more of an open carry, or carry in coat weather type of option. I have them all so I can carry what I want when it seems appropriate - I shoot the G45, 320 and the 365 Legion about the same. The 320 was not "special" enough for me to want multiples, and seemed to occupy the same space as my G45s do, so it is not as high on my likeability scale...nothing wrong with it, just nothing extraordinary about it.

If you are looking for CCW and the grip does not feel too small to you, I'd recommend the 365 - but not everyone is comfortable with the size of the grip. I have found I do not enjoy shooting a gun if I can't get comfortable with the grip.

I like the weight of the Legion over all of them, but I really like my 229 and 226 for the same reason - I like shooting a gun with a little weight. So if I am going on a longer ride/trip to a place I think may be a bit sketchy, I will take the Legion, or the 229.

But I can tell you the 365 is not designed for long shooting days at the range...
Can you expand on this a bit? Are you talking about recoil comfort? Durability?

The way the threads are laid on here on GT , I'm not sure if the Subjective to user observation is relating to rubbing the wrong way on P365 mag extensions, or generally the " not as good for long range sessions " ?

The first , no knowledge .

Of the latter , I can observe :

It is highly variable and Subjective as to how or if Recoil and/ or Snap effects a particular gun's suitability for intended purpose . But relative levels can be compared between different guns , mostly objectively.

As a Class, 1lb & under Micro Nines have significantly more recoil and Flip than G22 in .40 .

I’ve got a p365x and a p320 full size. For me they fill different roles I guess. The p365x to me is the perfect size concealed carry and I’m more than fine with 12 rounds in the flush fit mag. In my case I’d still pick the 365 even over the compact p320 based on concealability. And I’ve shot the 365 so much I basically shoot it as well as my full size options

I own and shoot both.

Modularity: both have it these days. Probably more options for the 320, but probably not as wide a gap as you might think any more.

Ergonomics is entirely subjective. I have fat hands with medium length fingers. The 320 is more comfortable for me, albeit not by a large margin.

Capacity and performance, both can be had with up to a 21-round magazine, so no difference there. Performance, both are equally reliable and accurate, at least in my hands.

I carry my 365 daily. I find it easier to carry concealed than any 320. However, it's the 320 X-5 Legion that has night stand duty.

Honestly, I doubt you'd be disadvantaged going either way. Go hold them both. Shoot them both if you have the opportunity. Or better yet, BUY both (if you can).

Sig 320's... add the AXG frame and it's gold..
My Sig never went off by itself..
It's a great platform, Sig is kiling it with modularity.

This is something Glock should have done years ago..
I own a Glock, but it's boring..
320's.. just slick and very smooth shooting.
Here's my 320 Frankengun.. started out as a Standard X series full size.

Now has
Faxon barrel ( chameleon)
Grey Gun guide rod / spring (fat rod)
AXG frame with G10 grips.

I have a full size VTAC P320 for an HD gun ..... 21 round mags, optic and WML and beefy enough to use as a club if I run out of ammo.

That being said, when the XMacro came out and allowed me to carry 17 rounds in a slim config.... the gun sold me plus the modularity is excellent.

I currently have five P365 variants and two P320 models. They are all great. The p365 covers the range from micro-compact to compact, and the p320 covers the span from compact to full size.

SiGs modularity initiative, bringing in third party manufacturers with the release of the FCU units was brilliant. Yes, you can pimp out a Glock, but the FCU system lets you build the gun you want without having a drawer full of take off parts you never actually wanted. One of my p320's is total FrankenGun.

Size wise. I have a few thousand rounds through a mostly stock P365. It's not unpleasant to shoot, but like any small, light gun, you will most likely shoot until you achieve desired proficiency and then regularly to maintain your skills. If the plan is to do more extensive shooting maybe go slightly larger. If the original P365 size seems small and the P320 seems big, the 365XL is great CCW option in between.

One warning, if you apply rearward pressure to the trigger on a P320 the gun will ... wait for it ... fire! On the plus side, if you manage to shoot yourself there's a jury somewhere that will blame it on the gun and give you a big check. So that's something.
