I haven't been able to handle one yet, but they lost me with the polymer cocking aids. Those things just look goofy. They're smooth so I don't know how well they will work. I have to mess around with the gun before I can form a solid opinion though.
Well, like you said, you haven't handled one yet. When you finally do, I think you will find those cocking aids actually pretty nice to have and wonder why other manufacturers haven't done the same thing.

They look like they would print when carrying concealed since they add like 1/2 inch to the width.
I'm not sure they add quite a 1/2 inch. However, since half of that is against your body, it would not impact concealability. Only the side facing outward would make any difference, as far as I can tell.

I have read in a couple places that the cocking aids can be removed if not wanted.
From what I've seen, remove the rear sight and it slides right off.

I was browsing hkparts.net and noticed there are polymer fillers for the cocking ears if you remove them, too. So no gaping empty space if you take them out.

I really like mine. Love the cocking aids and they don't bother me at all. As a senior citizen I find they help more than hinder.

Would like to find more info on the VP9 Tactical. Never knew there was one! Help someone please.

Just put 250 rounds through my NIB VP9.
100% reliable, great trigger and very accurate.
Haven't carried it yet.
But it fits in the same holster as my P30 40.
And that's my favored belt gun these days.
So carrying the VP9 should be no problemo...

I've said it many times - I love my VP9, but honestly I pick up my VP40 first to shoot at the range. Same great feel, just a slightly beefier slide to tame that .40 round. They knocked it out of the park on the VP series.

And to whoever posted that POS M.A.C. so-called "torture test" video, you should know that is possibly the least scientific test on youtube. Sad!

It feels great in my hand but I dislike the trigger safety and like the g19 and walther ppq more. The hk looks the best though.
You dislike the trigger safety on the VP9, but are OK with it on a G19? My 19's trigger safety, as with my other Glocks, doesn't recess flush and causes discomfort over extended shooting sessions.

It seems the trigger sticks if you try and wrap your finger around the trigger. The safety doesn't get fully depressed. However if your using the pad of your finger like your supposed to it works just fine. Wouldn't like it to stick in an emergency

OK, I tend to shoot with the very tip of my finger, so I wouldn't experience the issue with the VP9, while at the same time the issue with the Glock trigger blade is exasperated.

The P30 was the best feeling grip I've ever tried. Can't remember but I would think the VP9 is similar. Both pistols are just too large and heavy for EDC for me.

I have HK's, but Glock is what is in my holster.
