I just spent the last while reading through this whole thread.

FWIW: I’m also a newbie to this forum.

I am currently in this valley of decision as well... CZ P-10 C vs Glock 19. Primary purpose: Conceal Carry.

I’ve handled both, not shot both. I think both are great, ergos going towards the CZ P-10 C. One thing I can’t get away from though that makes me lean towards the Glock... time tested and proven reliability and durability.
I’m not trying to say one is better than the other, that’s been done for 20 pages now. But one is definitely more proven than the other. Anyways - both offer great things different from each other... but in the end reliability / durability are most important to me. Second in line of importance, accuracy. Third: Crisp, Light (-ish) trigger, short reset.

Wondering if anyone would be so kind and to fill me in on any updates concerning this subject of: CZ P-10 C vs Glock 19?

I went through the same internal debate and chose the Glock 19 for concealed carry. The Glock weighs less and I don't particularly like the CZ's magazine release (too stiff). The Glock 19 is not as wide as the CZ so for concealed carry I prefer it. You also have a better choice of sights the Glock will take. You are more limited with the CZ. I do like the grip of the CZ P10 C. That is probably its best feature for me, but you have to decide what the best features of each firearm are for you. Can't help you there.

I don’t know of any issues with current production P10 guns. Earlier ones had some QC problems but CZ has corrected them afaik. Both the P10 and M&P 2.0 Compact are fine guns. I think the 2.0 Compact is the best polymer pistol introduced in a long time.

Everyone has their personal favorites, I have shot quite a bit gen3 glock 19, a walther PPQ, P10C, and a friends M&P compact 2.0. I prefer the Walther over all of them, then the glock, P10c, and finally the M&P(it might have to go back to the factory, and I feel it is not made as well as the other guns.) It all comes down to what you are familiar with and how well you shoot it. I think that they are all well made guns...well except maybe the M&P

Thanks for the replies guys.

@grumpy1 thank for the vid links. I had already watched the first one, and I’ll check out the second one. I haven’t checked out the M&P 2.0 yet.

@Capt. H Glad to hear I’m not the only one. It helps and benefits to hear from others who have had to make this decision as well. I agree the P-10C is noticeably and obviously bigger, seems almost full size. I know it’s not technically but in comparison to the Glock 19, it appears this way. For those reasons you stated above that’s also why I’m considering the Glock 19 over the P-10C as well...
- g19 is smaller
- slide release on the P-10C is REALLY tough on the one I tried
- biggest perk of the P-10C is it’s trigger IMO
Thanks so much for your input

@WayneJessie I’ve never taken to a SW M&P but I’ll check it out, even though I have another pistol I’m checking out as my #3 option just below the P-10c, which is a CZ 75 Compact.

I have also felt this way about the M&P, it just seems to be “less” of a gun where quality is concerned. But at least for me I’ve only tried the first versions not the 2.0.

Makes me wonder, if the GLOCK "Hump" was offered as a back strap option, rather than integral to the frame, if would attract some of those that are looking elsewhere, like the P10C or M&P Compact? :dunno:

I think it has more to do with the "Luger" type grip angle. Those complaining about the Glock grip prefer the 1911 angle instead.

If you chance the hump, you in effect change the angle though. With today's technology, seems they could make it an option.

Personally, I don't mind either grip angle. Heck, I've gone to matches that allow dual (division) entry, and I've gone back and forth between a Glock and 1911 in the same match and it never bothered me.

IMO, whatever gun the owner likes Best happens to be the best To Them! Not everybody though. I like CZ's for sure but also my Glocks. I'll admit that I do wish the trigger on my G19 Gen3 was a bit lighter but don't want to mess with it now. Tried a Lone Wolf connector "rated" @ 4.5 lb. and when tested with my digital trigger gauge, didn't change a thing, hmm?
Wait till that CZ has been on the market and sold a "LOT" and stood the test of time & then see what happens? Time tells. While I actually Like my 1911's that I packed for 49+ years better, my now Old Arthritic fingers don't. Therefore I now pack a G19.
While not at all related to this post Or the OP (its because of ME & I can't find an addy to write to FN's about it) but I'd just like to note One person who I think should stop blowing his horn and professing that HIS way is the ONLY way is Jim Tarr who writes for Firearms News. HE professes that the DUH? Thumb High hold is the ONLY HOLD that anyone shooting a semi auto should use & if they Don't use that, they shouldn't be shooting the gun. Just because its the best for HIM and he's been champion several years still doesn't mean that its the best for everybody "Including ME". Using that hold I cannot actuate the grip safety on my 1911's due to my hands now. Not enough "meat" under the web of my thumb. Had a good instructor once who told me that if I came across another instructor who claimed that "HIS way was the Highway", RUN don't walk! Be open minded and I fully agree with him, both then & still now!
GOOD LUCK with your CZ but let it stand the test of time & then find our more.

The slide release as well as the mag release both break in great IF one will shoot the gun instead of tearing it apart to do “fixes” to it. After 2800 rounds mine is smoother than a baby’s bottom.

Lighter trigger? Have you tried the ppq?

I feel to ME the PPQ and the HK VP9 have the best FACTORY trigger
I believe “best” is subjective, like you said. I’ve shot them all, and I think the Glock factory trigger is best for a defensive carry gun, but the PPQ and VP triggers would serve one better in a clinically competitive shooting situation. It’s all relative to personal perception and purpose of use, IMO.
