What don't you like?
I have tried low fps ammo, high fps ammo, name brand ammo, cheap ammo, loading the magazine with 10 rounds, loading it maxed out, still get FTE, slide won't return to battery (have to hit it with hand), it just will not fire an entire magazine without problems.

Could it be the recoil spring? Maybe, I ordered one from the Taurus store.
Could it be the magazine is screwed up? Maybe, I ordered one when I ordered the recoil spring.
Could it be something else? I'll see when these items show up.

Good luck getting your TX22 to run. When they run, they run really well. Better off doing what you're doing; troubleshooting on your own, because Taurus CS is atrocious

The only thing I don't like about my TX22 is the full size compared to my Keltec P17. Should have been more compact from the beginning. The question is... will it take regular TX mags?
I always kind of considered the full size to be a selling point. So many 22LR “trainer” versions of their center-fire counterparts have smaller dimensions, and that makes no sense to me.

I hear you but....IMO, a 22 doesn't need to be big i.e full size unless it's a target pistol. I do like the regular TX as a service pistol trainer but I mostly carry a 22 as trail gun and for plinking so it's doesn't need to be full size.

The compact isn't that much smaller than the full size

And compared to a P17. I don't consider the P17 a "compact" pistol, it's more of a medium size. So the TX22 compact is just compact in comparison with it's full size brother TX22.

So, the Taurus TX 22 has shown itself to be a different animal from Taurus. They did have some barrel issues when they first launched, but they got that cleaned up. The majority of owners are very happy with the TX 22.
I do love my TX22, it’s a great gun. I got It last spring but it did need the barrel replaced though. Taurus didn’t give me any trouble replacing it and the new one is good. I did see a recent report of someone buying a bad barrel recently, so they might still be putting out a bad one here & there. The optic ready compact looks neat & will probably appeal to some new buyers.
