I've had one of thier 8" models for over 5 years. over 3000 rds with no problems. the EPT trigger was heavy ay 7.5lbs. JP pring kit got it down to 4.5-5. biggest improvement was adding the Kynshot recoil reducing buffer;

Not trying to burst your bubble, but don't expect it to be lightweight. In the description, they mention the lightweight rail, not the rifle. My 8" version is heavy. This is the barrel

I thought about switching to a lighter barrel, but it works good now, so I'm afraid to change it

These have popped up on sale a few times. One of which is when I picked up my 10.5 PX-9 AR9

 

Faxon makes a variety of light barrel for this gun, and they shoot great.

I have to believe this will still be lighter than the Model A UZI Semiauto! Roughly 8lbs, then add 32 rounds of 9mm ammo... It was a heavy dude!!! {sigh} Still missing that wonderful piece of history... 😢 Picked it up for around $600 in the 90's!!! Just before those ugly Glocks were released {sigh}.

Came with a 27 round magazine and an 'online manual'... ? Whaz up with the online manual you say??? Gosh... it's kinda weak, but then again it's just another AR with 9mm conversions...

Looking to have a Range Report come Friday... or possibly early next week post sighting in!

The controls fit me nicely, should be easy to sight in! Got a Sparq AR and a Sig Saur Romeo for red dots... and a set of Kiro 'iron' sights AKA plastic! We shall see bout this...

Sweet! How does it feel weight wise? I saw on PSAs site that the 10.5" barrel doesn't have heavy profile like my 8.5"

 

Bought one very similar a few years ago. Lots of fun at the range. Only failure was when powder residue clogged the firing pin channel. I clean it more often now.

Enjoy! I've shot one a few times. Reliable with Glock mags, not so much with aftermarket (unsuprisingly). Accurate enough, no complaints there.

Recoil is pretty brutal for a 9mm, as is expected with the blowback action. There are some ways to remedy this which I would recommend.

"Lightweight" refers to the handguard used. That's just the PSA naming convention.

Also there was never any time the pistol was "Regularly $1,119.00". It's a $650 gun all the time.

The “lightweight” refers to the hand guard.

Speaking on great AR9, I built this on a Foxtrot Mike lower. I added a FM bolt, an 11” Ballistic Advantage EPC barrel, a Triggertech single stage, AR9 adjustable trigger and a Maxim Defense roller delayed buffer. It’s been 100% reliable, recoil is half of what a traditional buffer would be and the gas back in my face, has been cut by 2/3rds. Finally, I paid the tax stamp, to SBR it. Sorry, my original point is, that I believe PSA uses the same barrel. It has an enhanced feed cone, which really helps with reliability.

 

Looks good - And I'll check out the Maxim Defense roller delayed buffer just to see how that might impact the performance...
