Anyone ever sell a gun to Guns.com?
Seems easy enough but I’m curious about the experience and the price they offered.

I am going to take a drive to a few LGS to sell a pistol or 2 I don’t want anymore, but I’m going to keep some of these online sites in mind. If there’s some other sites I can look into let me know, thanks in advance!

I sold a few to the local indoor shooting range - I always noticed the display full of guns for sale -

The best luck I have is at gun shows - I just get there early before the doors open - start at the beginning of the line waiting to buy a ticket and slowly walk towards the end - holding the gun I am selling.

Didn't even buy a ticket to the show the last time I sold on -

I tried Buds gun shop once - they have a used gun buying service on their web site - but it didn't work out for me -

You can also sell stuff on GT classified - but a new guy with no history makes that a little harder - but depending on where you are - with GT members all over you may be able to do a FTF sale to a GT member.

Good luck.

Selling to dealers is a terrible idea. Since they intend to sell to buyers at the market price and make a good profit, they have to pay you far less than the market price.

Why not just go to a gun show and carry your guns around for a few minutes until they are sold? You'll make a lot more money.

I tried Guns.com and was underwhelmed. The prices were not horrible but low. Too low unless you were just wanting to unload an unwanted gun and a few hundred bucks sounded better than more metal in your safe. One of the guns I was offering to sell through guns.com was a sought-after 1911. Still not a great offer from them.

I did not sell through guns.com and ended up selling both FTF locally.

Pros and cons to selling to a retailer.

Pro: You can sell it quick and easy. You won't have to deal with the flakes and tire kickers you'd have to deal with if you tried to sell it on your own.

Con: Retailers won't give you much. They're in it to make a profit, so they'll give you well under what they think they can sell it for.

Have you considered a local, private party, face to face sale using Armslist or something?

Tire kickers are the worst I'm trying to sell my gen 3 Glock 19 and haven't had any luck sadly, but I did offer it to guns.com tho hoping I can get a decent deal

You are better off finding a local outfit that does auctions/estate sales. Cost you nothing, they charge the buyer 10-20%. Local shops also do consignments for a fee.

Cabelas has been good to me. They price pretty high so they buy pretty high.

I'm thinking of getting a used glock to practice choping and stippling. Cabelas used guns aren't much different then their new ones. Meanwhile the store that offered me 1/3 the price for my SIGs sells used glocks for dirt cheap. 300 bucks or a 23.

They are thieves and liars. I ordered a rifle for my son for xmas and they have busted the shipping date....almost a week and hasn't shipped out...come to find out they are basically a drop ship company for most of their firearms. Called to cancel they won't cancel. They only seem to have one customer service manager....at least that's what the one I keep talking to says. Won't transfer me higher. I asked if my issue is with you and you continually lying to me what do I do sit on it and take it like a ***** to which he said Yes that's correct. I have now lodged 2 BBB complaints on them. STAY AWY FROM THIS COMPANY
