My LCP has been great. No malfunctions and accuracy is excellent, however I wouldn't recommend it for a first time shooter. I would recommend the G26. My sister got both a G26 and LCP and quickly got rid of the Ruger. It's so small she had difficulty manipulating the slide and she didn't like the recoil. She shoots her 9mm Glocks like a champ though.

I'd recommend something a little bigger. Most women I know find either gun unpleasant to shoot. Plus, bad trigger and bad sights IMO. I think you should consider something a little bigger and softer shooting, with good sights and a good trigger.

I was pondering this same thing this evening. With both next to each other I ended up going with the P-3at on the fact that I like the grip better than the Ruger. There isn't any way its going to slip out of my hands lol, its like 500 grit.

Every woman I have ever taken to the range preferred the P32 to any of the small 380's. Why? Less recoil, lighter spring (easier for them to rack the slide) and for those who could not rack the slide, last round lock back allowed them to recharge the weapon without help. I would recommend it as a solution for a tiny carry auto over my P3AT, feg, bersa, etc especially for the ladies.

I appreciate the feedback, I will be taking the wife to the range to try out some different pistols to see what she likes best and what works best for her.
