You are correct, sir, I missed it by a country mile, and I apologize for my error. I am usually good about seeing things, especially looking back and seeing the toy-ammo you posted, now I don't know how I didn't get it. I guess I thought you meant you thought it was chambered in some pert-near extinct ammo... I'm a dunce. That is all.

To address a few points raised:

Two weeks ago after the minx stole my S&W 649 (again) I figured that she would want me to find another J frame for her. She does have and sometimes carries a 351PD, but doesn't like the hammer which can snag on draw. After an extended range session with my 649 and a friends LCR, she has sworn off any 38 special J-frames.

About the cost of Micro eagles, I typically find them going for 650-750 on GB. Not terrible for a well made gun, but not a price tag that we want to spend for the summer "going out for milk" gun.

I believe the keltec will end up winning based on price point, and the fact that it is a locked breech (vs the NAA). After a lot of looking, the LCP, kahr cw380, and naa guardian are all of a similar size so I haven't ruled them completely out either. Weight isn't an issue as much as size is, after all her main gun is a G26 that she currently carries daily and uses in club IDPA matches.

Happy belated birthday, half century guy! In .25 acp I prefer the Beretta model 21A over the 950, but both truly are reliable. Back before Ohio had licensed concealed carry, some of us range regulars who carried anyway found that to be the case.

Of course Beretta made the 950 in .22 Short, and the 21A in .22 Long Rifle too, but we found that the rimfire guns were a little less likely to go bang every time.

There's still a Beretta 21A in safe and it gets toted as a BUG once in a while. But recently I got lured in by the Sig P365 and can be pocket carried almost as easily.
Thanks Brian!!!
At one time I had the 21 and the 950, the 21 was .22lr and 950 is a .25. I chronod them both just to see how much if any the .22 had over .25acp......pretty even between the two.
Buuuut, big time difference in reliability. I would have loved the 21 in .25acp, but it had ignition and some ejection issues as a rimfire. Still have the punisher 950. :D

Keltec P32.

9.6 ounces LOADED.
You can't beat that. You can't. Carry it all day, it won't drag you down.
7+1 rounds of ammo. Extra loaded mag is super light, now you've got 15 rounds, and STILL lighter than most EMPTY guns. Run Fiocchi FMJ ammo.

...
This would be for my wife, who normally carries a G26. But she is pregnant and as she gets a little further along, carrying a fat baby glock in a belly band is going to print badly in her work polo.

So I have been thinking of a mouse gun that she could pocket carry if it came down to it. Women's pants have pathetic pockets, so this presents some annoying challenges ...
...
More than likely she will continue to use her G26 and occasional J-frame, but it would be nice to give her more options if I could.

Yes, women's clothes often have ridiculously small pockets. I, too, often carry a J-frame, but I'm really liking this one too, which is smaller:

i have a BG380, very thin, shoots very nice, i carry it often when working where you don't want anyone to know you are carrying...

My Bodyguard .380 fits in some of my pockets that won't hold my J-frames. The usual criticism is the heavy trigger pull, but since your wife sometimes carries a J-frame it probably won't bother her. I actually like it, especially on a pocket gun. It also has second strike capability, although it hasn't needed it. I put a dab of orange nail polish on the front sight. It's been 100% reliable so far, even with first-time female shooters. I carry the Hornady XTP rounds in it. Unless she has to have something even smaller, she might want to give it a try.

I've been meaning to get an Alabama pocket holster for it, but that Vedder looks similar; very thin kydex.

Congrats on the baby, btw!

Friends don’t let friends carry mouse guns. That being said, I think this was in the era of a mouse gun being a .22 or .25 cap., maybe a .32 acp. We now have “shootable” mouse guns in .380 acp and 9mm. Life is good. Carry on.

Ruger LCP with a 7 round magazine rides in my pocket everywhere. Sights suck but I can hit a paint can at 7 yards just by pointing it like a finger.
90 grain Gold Dots.

Did someone say mouse guns?

The P32 top right is the best of the bunch.
I do enjoy shooting the Beretta 21a though. And it has been very reliable. I used to own the 25 version, which was also reliable, and got the 22 for cheap practice.
After a lot of reliable, accurate shooting, I compared the 22 and 25 in various media, and didn't see much difference, so I sold the 25.
The P32 was bought just before the plandemic. I’ve put a 100rounds of S&B FMJ through it with no issues...it’s a great shooter. Also shot some Hornady JHP with no issues. I wish it had better sights, I think it would be pretty accurate. I like it more than my old P3AT because of the extra round, and last round hold open.

For lightweight and thin I would say Keltec P3AT but if the dinky sights are a dealbreaker that might not work for her.

The Beretta 21A & Taurus PT22 are possible candidates but are fat little buggers.

I really like my NAA mini-revolver in .22 Magnum. It is very, very easy to carry (5.5 oz) and about as concealable as it gets. They even offer a lanyard loop (or used to, factory mod) so she could carry it around her neck. 5 shot .22 Mag is no sneeze. Sights are non existent on mine but I think they make some models with good sights, including night sights.

A lot of times the mouse guns have marginal sights. You/she might want to revisit this. Sights are good and it’s good to use sights but for purely defensive use, especially up close and personal, they are rarely used. Things tend to be more point and shoot.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have an honest half million rounds shooting trap so am used to just sighting down a rib so that's how I shoot my LCP, sight down the barrel and go. If I can hit a 50mph target at 27 yard handicap doing that I can sure as heck hit center of mass at 10 yards.

I join in recommending the Beretta Pico. Small, slim, easy to carry and very reliable.

Be careful about the Kel Tec P32. I had two of them, and both had the hammer springs break. Luckily, I was at the range both times. Because of this, I don’t trust it for every day carry.

A true mouse gun boasting the powerful .22 Short. This is my woods gun and why not? I always read here how shot placement is more important than caliber. Although I might move up to .22LR for Alaska.

You will need something bigger than that for the mosquitoes! :D

The "zebra" guns shot airsoft-like BBs:

Yeah, I know it's the Zebra gun that looks more like the Whitney Wolverine, but the yellow rubber balls are not as funny as the "Tracer Gun" ammo.

The Ruger LCP is as small as I'm willing to go, for when I absolutely can't carry a Glock 43. Anything less than .380 and I'd just as soon carry a knife.
