Those that have USED the PSA micro dagger mags in a Glock 43X -

- AND I AM ONLY ASKING ABOUT THE PSA DAGGER MAGS, SO PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC - THANK YOU!! -

Has anyone had ANY issues using THESE MAGS SPECIFICALLTY, or are they 100% and I can count on them for SD / carry (after extensive testing obviously)?

THANKS!

I tried the Shield mag in my 43X and after several phone calls for ftf and ejection issues, I returned it for a refund. I then ordered a PSA Dagger mag and have had great success with it and I didn't even have to change the mag release. I did notice that the plastic had some flashing that extruded into the metal body which created some sticky spots for the follower. Once I cleaned it up with an exacto knife, the follower fell easily through the mag body with no rough spots. I made PSA aware of my experience and they assured me that their qc inspectors would get a heads up. I haven't heard anyone else having this problem so the minor issue was solved. I trust this mag for edc.

I have 1 of the super slick and 4 of the regular ones. The 4 regular ones have run flaws for me. Somewhere in the range 5 to 600 shot out of the 4 on range trips with various ammo. The super slick around round 9 always has a feed issue. I sanded the inside of the tube , lightly, and cleaned some flash off the follower. Have not had a chance to retest.

I keep one of the PSA Micro Dagger mags in my carry gun and my backup mag is Glock.

Initial production of PSA Micro Dagger mags, some people experienced issues like feeding. The inside of the mag tube, some had excess polymer flashing/burrs (easily removed). This could have caused the follower to hang-up.

Current run of PSA Micro Dagger mags are GTG. The inside of the mag tube is cleaner, they changed the follower. The polymer base plate doesn't bulge as much like the base plate of the initial run. They removed the polymer where the mag catch is also in the current run.
The common complaint is the 15th round is tough to get into the mag w/o a loader.
They run fine in my G43x/G48.

First of all THANK YOU to all that replied, it is appreciated. :)

Second of all, the reason I asked this (and why I was so adamit about staying ON TOPIC - other than the fact GT tends to drift away from the subject at hand  ) is b/c I purchased a G43X last year with the WHOLE intention of being able to use 15 round mags in place of the factory 10 round mags (or multiple factory 10 rounders) to jump up my carry capaicty more easily. Like Colion Noir states, "I am a capacity whore" 😁. Regardless, I purchased two Shield Arms mags AND their mag catch, and well you figure out the rest annd why I am asking.:cry::cry:

I AM (and still are) VERY UPST to read that while others have been down this same road w/ SA (and I even agreed to let them warranty mine out at least once also) that SA HAS refunded some folks for this same issue, while again I went through the same thing, again warrantied mine out at least once, and SA REFUSES to do anything other than swap mine out again, and in the mean time I'm out $90 and a TON of testing ammo. Hence why I do NOT want to go down this road again unless the PSA Dagger mags are 100% for sure.

I understand Mec Gar mags are developing metal Glock mags that WORK, and the G43X/48 mags are supposedly on their list. NO word on capacity yet, but hopefully it will be more than less.

Thank you all again, and in the interim I already have a plan for another route I plan to try while waiting for SOMONE to come up with a higher capacity G43X mag that is 100%.

Thanks -

Eric

First I've heard about Mec-Gar. This is encouraging. I have numerous Mec-Gar mags for other pistols and never had a single problem.

If they can come up with a 43 mag as reliable as their others, that will be worth paying extra for. (But as I said previously, I've had no isssues with the PSA mags I have.)

I bought one last year at a PSA store. It’s the slick mag version. I have had several ftf with it.
The follower drags and the last two rounds wont feed sometimes. It almost always fails to engage the slide stop after the last round.
I assume there’s something buggered up inside or the spring needs a stretch. I haven’t really put any effort into fixing it and frankly may trade the 43x off anyway.

Do any of you know what changes (if any) has PSA done to these since they came out with them to make them a more reliable mag? I mean like followers and such since they have been out for a while, I would think that they may have done some updating to them to make them better. I ask because I am thinking of getting some, Thanks ....

PSA Micro mags are on their "third" version.

The initial version had some excess polymer "flash" or burrs in the mag tube that may have interfered with the follower. Easy enough to remove. Some thought there may have been issues with the feed lips.
I have the initial release version; no issues especially once I cleaned out the excess polymer flash.

"Version2" - The mag tube was a lot cleaner inside, no excess flash. Different follower. The mag catch notch on the front polymer part didn't have polymer in the notch. Some people thought the follower showed quicker wear.
I have version2, no issues for me with version2. Works for me in the PSA Micro Daggers and Glock 43x/48.

"Version3" - This version came out only a month ago. It has a red follower.
I don't have any of the red follower version.

My experience with PSA is they listen to customer feedback and tweak their products to make them more reliable.

I just bought 3 of the new ones. They are working very well so far!!! I can even use the ETS Speed Loader on these new ones.

Two range sessions with the Red followers and all is well at this time!

The current PSA Dagger Micro fifteen round mags have red followers which were changed to improve the reliability of locking the slide back on empty. The current follower have a nub on the bottom rear of the follower to help keep the follower in the proper position to improve reliability. I read where if you are having issue PSA has sent out new red followers. It might be worth calling or emailing PSA customer service.
