Pocket Holster for LCP Max

I purchased an LCP Max a few months ago as a backup or second gun so I typically carry it in my left-hand pocket with a soft pocket holster.
The issue I'm having is that, on occasion, I will find the magazine release has been depressed during the course of my day and I have to reinsert the magazine. As you can imagine this can be a real pickle if I have to draw in self defense and the mag falls out. A one-shot 380 is really bad juju in a self defense scenario.

Anyway... I'm looking for a good pocket holster that protects the magazine release button for the LCP Max.
Any recommendations?

I have a left and right hand Alabama Holster Company holster for my LCP Max. There is an option to have the magazine release covered when you order.

My left hand holster has a covered magazine release.

What you're saying makes sense. All other guns for which I have a pocket holster keep the mag button exposed and don't have that problem.
I guess the holster I have for the Max is just low quality more than anything else so I need a better made holster.

Looks like Vedder and Alabama are good units that work well.

Mine has been great and I will likely need to buy another for my pocket because my lady has appropriated it. ;)
She doesn’t love shooting it, it barks a bit, but loves to carry it much more than her 43; and she loves Glocks.
I recommend it.

I know this is an old thread but it popped up under a thread I'd just responded to. Anyone carrying something front pocketable, should look at Mika pocket holsters. Bob is a former LAPD guy, moved to the midwest, became a chief in a small town and started making his holsters. All I've used for years now as they stay in your pocket without using gimmicks but allow for a very easy draw.

Just saw this thread again and I now have an LCP Max with an Alabama pocket holster.

You can specify whether you want the magazine release covered or not when you order. I didn't want mine covered but they offer that option.

I might have requested them to make mine a little narrower on the end, but I can't recall for sure now. My clothing has pockets that are smaller than the pockets in men's clothing.

The Max comes with a soft pocket holster in the box but with a round in the chamber and no manual safety I wanted a firmer holster.

Like most lefties, I learned to manipulate pistols using standard, "right-handed" controls. That included the magazine release.
Repetition over the years makes me instinctively seek the mag release button with my left middle finger. It is actually faster and easier for me to depress the mag release button with the middle finger of my left hand than with my thumb.
Switching the mag release is not a good option for me, nor is it a good option for most lefties I know that were trained before ambidextrous controls became widespread.
