Pants for pocket carry

Looking to update my wardrobe. What's a good, everyday casual pant for front pocket carry? My activities include cutting the grass, fishing, riding bike, hanging around town. Just wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations before I go grab whatever Walmart has on the shelves.

I DO NOT like jeans for pocket carry. Seems the more-horizontal pocket opening interferes with drawing the weapon. The more angled/vertical opening on cargo pants seems to work better for me, even if someone may get a peak at the grip on my gun.

You are on the right track. I always wear pants when I pocket carry.

Just check out the pockets at the store before you buy, since you are the only one here who knows what size gun you tote.

I usually go with cargo pants with nice deep pockets. The deep pockets is key. I don't pocket carry often, but when I do this is it.

I don't pocket carry even a Ruger LCP in a pants pocket, so I have never figured out what pants Glock Talkers are wearing when they claim to pocket carry everything from a G43X to a G17. Maybe something like:

Untucked shirt that partially covers pocket helps with printing issues and conceals gun on belt.😁

+1 Duluth Firehose pants. The cheap ones: flex material doesn't seem quite as coarse and a bit more 'printing' to me.

Deep pockets, coarse pant material mutes printing to indistinct bump. Plenty of room to grasp and draw. Larger guns might be barely viewable from the top and back but black ones would hide in the shadow. I wear my shirts out, so even that's covered. I use top pocket, but if you wanted to, you could use the lower pockets for a spare. I used to put a spare magazine in one of the small pockets on outside of the lower cargo pockets. It worked really well but the mag plate wore a hole in the pocket. I have a small flashlight in that same pocket on the other leg.

I like cargo jeans and I've been wearing these for a few years, I pocket carry a G26 with a DeSantis Superfly holster in them. Works well for me. Walmart used to sell them but I haven't been able to find them in stores for years so I order them direct from Wrangler. If you get on their mailing list, they run sales pretty often.

Get some good ol' fashioned mom jeans. You'll love the "nine-inch zipper and casual front pleats".

Haggar slacks are perfect for pocket carry.

Dickies makes some with proper pockets as well.

Haggar - yes, I couldn't remember the name (and I was too lazy to go to my closet to look.) I wear them to church and pocket carry my SW442

I just use regular "stretchy" jeans. I can drop a G26 in there with an extended mag without a problem, same with my cargo shorts. It's the shirt that's more of an issue - as long as it's baggy and long enough, it's really not a problem.

Cargo pants typically have bigger pockets, you can try Wrangler cargo shorts as well…. As others have suggested, be sure of the pockets before you buy. So I just go in and try them on and then drop your piece in the pocket and see

Those who pocket carry in a front pocket, where do you keep your keys (house, car, etc.)? Modern car key fobs are kind of bulky, so that goes in one front pocket and the big key ring goes in the other.

I can tell you, LAPG Core Cargo Pants cargo pockets are perfect for a G42 in a pocket holster, and would probably fit a 43 in a pocket holster...but the 42's is the only pocket holster I own.

My key ring has a snap hook that I attach to a belt loop. No keys or FOBs in my pockets.

I pocket carry a lot, most often a J-frame but I have pocketed a G43. My advice is to take your pocket gun pants shopping, try the pants on in a fitting room and test the pockets with your gun.

Personally, for everyday wear I like the Duluth trading Doubleflex relaxed fit jeans. A little looser fit, flexible material and nice, deep canvas pockets. I know you don't want jeans but I see that others have recommended Duluth as well and I'm assuming the flex and the canvas pockets on their pants are similar to what's on their jeans.
