Posted this exact thread over at Taurus Armed. Figured why not post it here. Been a minute since we had a good ol' TAURUS THREAD. :D

My Taurus M605, 3 inch, 357MAG revolver. One of my literal favorite guns. Bought on a whim, with a good coupon :D Almost didn't buy it, because I felt like the cylinder lock up and timing was loose; it definitely doesn't lock up as tight as a comparable S&W or Ruger, however, it hasn't skipped or missed a beat. The build quality is still very good, and I noticed and admired the crane fitment and machining for a lower cost revolver. I'm still impressed and happy with it. :)

Putting a Galloway Spring kit in it was a game changer. DA was horrid and heavy, before, and now is on par with standard S&W J frames. Zero light strikes or reliability issues. @GlockFan7 Big Thanks to you for that piece of advice! It is a game changer for these revolvers. :)

I've owned SP101 or two, and they're fantastic. However, as much as I love the Ruger SP series, I just like the Taurus more. Seriously. 357s out of this little thing are actually still pretty fun to shoot. Only one load I've run through it, Federal 158 JSPs, are really hot and pretty not so fun after a cylinder or two. My buddy at work has also run those, and when I mentioned them specifically, he knew exactly which 357 I was talking about. They're spicy out of my GP100 4 inch.

The seams are barely noticeable, but you don't feel them. The grip checkering is perfect. Won't tear you up when you're rocking 357s outta this thing.

A gun I already love, I love it more now :)

I bought the 856 Executive Grade over a year ago and it impressed the pants off me.

This year they made one in 357 mag, they're definitely worth it.

I don't like the factory grips but I found the vintage wood grips, like these, feel the best.

And I'm in love with their 942 ulra lite 22 lr revolvers. I got two and both are perfection, LOVE them!

Yeah, I recently saw a shot show booth review where they talked about the Executive line. That's pretty cool. Very smoothed out, polished internals from the factory.

Once I put the Galloway springs into my 605, it made it so good and smooth I never considered polishing anything up or doing anything to it. Mine also looks like an Executive, now, anyway. 😁
