I think what hurt them was their pricing when the FNS line first hit the market. They were priced higher than comparable Glock models. After about a year and a half of them not moving FN announced “new” pricing on them. By then, I think a lot of potential customers moved on. They’re great quality guns; more so than Glock, but the initial marketing hurt them.

I paid "full retail" for mine two years ago and was still $200 less than every Glock on the rack. When were they priced higher?

They hit the shelves in early 16 Full retail then was just a hair under $600. Full retail for a Gen4 19 was around $525 during the same time if I remember correctly.
Thanks. Maybe it was a local thing. That was about the same time I bought mine.
