Some paracord wrapped on the stock arm to help make it a little more comfortable. First time I’ve ever worked with paracord. Watched a couple videos on YouTube and chose the simplest way to wrap this. I‘m happy with the way it turned out being my first time but I will redo it and stop before I get to the stock arm rivet up by the receiver.

I was finally able to get me one of these underfolders. This is my first underfolder. Actually my second one as the first one I bought had issues so Zastava replaced it. But technically, it’s my first ever underfolder. I guess the handguards are brand new USA made for parts count and Zastava gives it the distressed look. Not sure if I like the writing on the handguard. Maybe? Maybe not?

I posted a while ago about how I wanted one of these.

How does she shoot OP? I’ve seen a video or two reporting that the Zastava M70 Underfolder is under gassed and the casings landing only a few feet away from the shooter.

I don’t know. I haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet, unfortunately. Hopefully soon I will get a chance to shoot it.

I went out and put 80 rounds through my ZPAP M70 underfolder. It ran great. It’s definitely not over gassed like my Egyptian Maadi which hurls cases into the next county. But it’s gassed good. Rounds are ejecting a good distance away from the rifle. No problems.

Very good. I’m about to order one myself.

Military AK rifles tend to be fairly overgassed as per design.

My Polish rifle certainly is.

Neat thing on the Zastava M70 UF is the addition of the side mounted proprietary optics rail. There’s a factory low profile mount for the underfolder model that will accept a red dot optic.

I plan on doing that in addition to an Ultimak gas tube to mount a WML.

Then the Rhodesian paint.

I would skip the Ultimak mount and add a Magpul forearm for mounting a light. AK's get heavy fast. Since you already have 2 optics mounts on there.

The problem with all these minimalist metal and wire style stocks, is it is hard to get a good cheek weld, and you are stuck using the iron sights because of face position (stock comb too low). Unlike the AR (which is inherently perfect for optics), the stock drop on AK's and SKs force you to think a little.

Congrats. I love the Zastava M70s. Best AK in my opinion. I've been around for 10yrs but only made my first post today. One day I'll share my M70 collection.

My latest M70 is this one that was imported by Mitchell arms. It is one of 400 that snuck past customs before the others were seized. The rest had to be modified to "M90" postban specs before clearing customs.

Mine is brand new in the box. I got it from one of the biggest gun collectors in the US (Terrance Mcarthy). I've done 6 figures of business with him in the past few months and this is one of the latest guns I got from him. It shipped last Thursday, so I should have it either tomorrow or the next day.

Another excellent choice by you. Purchased a Zpap85 pistol with red furniture recently, and will post a range report and pics in the next week or so.
