I bought a OWB holster from Muddy River for my Bodyguard 2.0 and truthfully am not impressed at all. It’s not wet molded to the gun whatsoever. The kydex holsters may be better, I have no idea but i won’t even use the holster I bought. Hope your experience is better.

People tend to like their kydex versions just fine but complain about the leather ones. The OWB's look like Versacarry clones.

That method will create a box of holsters. Buy the Holster you like before the GUN. Just keep buying handguns until it fits the Holster properly.
You will end up with a box of handguns instead of a box of holsters. 🤷‍♂️

 

Unfortunately I have a box of both! One day I’ll find a unicorn, until then I’ll just keep trying 🤦🏻‍♂️

Bought a OWB for a HK P2000, order was smooth, shipping was quick, came in, I unboxed it, in hand very nice build quality, grabbed my P2000 and inserted it. Was standing over my bed and turned it upside down….pistol fell out easily on the bed, that’s weird? That’s when I first noticed it didn’t have a retention screw, this ain’t gonna work!

It’s my fault, I missed it on their site it didn’t have any type of mechanical retention. Called the owner the next day, he couldn’t have been any nicer, great guy, he sent me a return authorization no questions asked. Excellent customer service and for that alone I’d recommend them!

His explanation on no retention screw, they’re designed to bend / flex when the belt is cinched down around you compressing or squeezing the holster closed on the pistol, hopefully I explained that well?

I missed that too…that makes me a little nervous. I won’t trouble trouble yet.

What everyone has said. I have an OWB leather and Kydex for my 30s. Leather not moulded but fit the gun fine. Kydex fit was very good. Gun clicks in.

 

I bought a kydex for my Glock 30 gen 5 from them.

I’d say it’s decent. The main negative is the belt clip is somewhat flimsy. I wear it for ccw occasionally.

 

I'm using one of their kydex IWB holsters for carrying my G43 AIWB. It's working fine, especially with a Tier 1 Wedge. I have no experience with their leather holster, though.

 

I’m still looking for a good, tight fitting close to the body OWB leather holster for my BG 2.0. If anyone has any leads please let me know. I’m very picky about holsters.

 

Urban Carry is advertising an owb holster ( leather ) for the Bodyguard 2.0 I'm also looking for this same holster and as popular as the gun is, I have NO doubt there will be a huge run on holsters for it. I did purchase two kydex holsters from Muddy River, pocket holster and inside the waist band and they are both fine.

 

I also had an issue finding something I liked for carry with WML I order a muddy river and still have it, but never really used it because of the lack of retention and the clip.

 

I spent the extra 10$ and switched out the clip but the retention part is concerning. Hopefully it’s well molded and not a concern. I went back and read their return policy, it gives me some confidence. Worth a try, even if I’m out shipping especially because of the struggles I had for the specific pistol and WML combinations. Shonda know soon enough 🤞🏼

I have several. Great company and Kevin is very quick to answer questions.
I have the leather iwb and four kydex.
I did have the leather owb but it didn’t suit me.
Their prices have increased a bit making them on par with competitors. Quality is great though. The only thing I don’t like is the odd size hex hardware they use. I have to drag out my allen set every time I tinker on one. 😂
They can do custom work also.

 

I have one of their tuckable leather IWB holsters for my Glock 43 and love it. I don't need retention on a tuckable holster.

 

40 weeks… yeah that’s a looongg time to wait for a holster, but I have heard good things about their holsters. I’m going to continue to look around.

 

What about Kramer or Mitch Rosen?

 

I purchased a holster about a year ago for a Sig X Macro. When it came I immediately noticed that the retention was not great. I put it aside to send back later. It was not my EDC holster so several months later I finally messaged the company about my problem with the holster, and I received a message from the owner to send it back. I did, and a week later I received a new holster with perfect retention. I never used it because I moved on from the macro, but I felt good about their desire to make it right.

 

I ordered mine for the X macro legion and hope they get it right. What didn’t you like about the pistol? I picked mine up last night and love how it feels in my hand. It’s like my G19 and G43X had a kid.

I have a couple muddy river holsters and they are a good choice in kydex.
They smooth all edges which is really nice!
