Minus connectors

Hey yall. Hope everybodys great.

Was recently sent some minus connectors.
Putting them in all my pistols except my slimline. There is noticeable mushiness/takeup/creep as some people stated, but thats ok with me, i know my trigger well enough to know when its about to break, and the wall is still identifiable.
There is definitely a difference in trigger break feel/pull weight and i really really like it, it helps alot to any cut weight at all, helps with my joint inflammation.

I know the minus connectors will be fine in terms of reliability cause its an oem part, i dont use anything aftermarket ever so this is great. (If you do thats fine, its your choice) but as an armorer i know better than to fiddle with reliability.
I typically alternate carry my gen3 23,
and my gen4 29, sometimes my gen5 26, depending if i need to conceal better.

would just love to hear peoples experiences with the minus's from over the years, and maybe anything they possibly ran into.
(on stock setups)

Would appreciate your thoughts and input with running the minus conn over our standard. Thanks

I have run a minus connector in my G19 gen2 for a number of years now.

I like the fact that there is not as much of a "wall" in my trigger pull when compared to the standard (unmarked) connector. I prefer a trigger with more of a rolling break. I do better with this type of trigger pull. YMMV.

I have tried a dot connector also.
I also tried the minus connector with a NY1 trigger spring.

I always go back to the minus connector with standard coil trigger spring.

Thanks so much for your feedback man.
Yeah i feel the same way trigger preference wise.
Ive shot a gen3 19 while we were training and my buddy had the minus on it, i shot better. It felt smooth to me i really like it. Shot accurately as well

No issues youve had that you can remember over the years running it at all?

I have tried the minus connector on several Gen 5 Glocks. In my opinion, it does nothing for a Gen 5. I don’t have a trigger pull gauge but it actually seems to increase pull and not break in a consistent way. In the past several people on the board have agreed with me. It would be interesting to hear what current consensus is now.

You know its so funny you say that, because when i had my 19x i tried the minus, and i felt the same way it made no difference! It actually just became super super mushy and the wall/break was awful, i switched back to the standard.

But yet i put one on my 26 and its AMAZING. Weird being that they are both gen5's 🤔
Goes to show every pistol has its own little kinks and personalities ☺

Thanks for your feedback brother

Absolutely NO issues.

As you probably know - the G34 (competition handgun) mostly comes with the minus connector. However the main exception - LEO's can order a G34 with the standard (unmarked) connector.

Minus connectors - either love them or hate them. ;)

I liked the way it felt in my 43. Less "wall," because there was less overall pressure required to let off the shot.
Mine let me down, when it disconnected the trigger spring hook from the bar. Put the stock one back in, but the only real stop I ever had in my G43 was with that "Minus" connector. It may be alright. It may have been my installation that somehow rendered the pistol unusable til I got it home and put the stock connector back in. That is the only time it happened. An armorer told me some GLOCK connectors' "spring characteristics" are better than others. If you get a bad one, just shop-up another one, I guess.

Could be just fine, but after that incident, I just keep it back in the original shipping envelop.
Got it from Glockparts for $10.95. Other times, Glockparts was okay when I ordered, but I'm not putting that thing back in. "NOPE" to having my bug stop completely during a life or death, or competition situation.

Damn sorry to hear that bro. Thanks for your feedback. I agree with putting back the stock one on to avoid a malfunction for self defense/carry.

I know the minus connectors for the slimlines/ 43 and 48 are different

The only thing that ever happened to me, the first time i shot my 19x with the new minus connector, was the very first shot; the slide didnt go back into battery. I nudged it and it was fine, shot 200 rounds right after that with no issues at all. So it lead me to believe everything was fine.

But that can be so many things other than the minus conn. My first thought was rsa but that rsa and the 19x itself was brand new and all function tests proved the rsa was fine.

Coincidence maybe. That pistol was also quite dirty as well on that range day, couldve caused a rough action back into battery.

If it only happened on the first shot then I think it was just the parts meshing and settling in after installation.

I have the OEM “-“ connector in every Glock I own, though the “-“ connector that comes standard in Slim Line Glocks (i.e., #33564) is not really a “competition grade” minus connector like the one for larger models (i.e., #721). I also run the NY-1 trigger spring on every Glock I have except the G42 (simply because I ran out of the NY-1 spring for the Slim Line modes).

I have started using this combination of the OEM “-“ connector + the NY-1 trigger spring in my gen.2 G19 over 20 years ago, and have not experienced any issue whatsoever. I really really this combination that makes the “wall” not very hard, but still gives a very firm take-up.

Ohh i see gotcha, good to know, yeah im running the standard spring..
You think the standard spring + minus conn. is fine in terms of reliability too? 🤔
