I am going to be ordering my third Desert Eagle early next week from Buds. It will be my second one in .50AE (my other is a .44 mag). I want to get one in the Chrome finish but am undecided on the polished or matte chrome.

A part of me wants to play It safe and get the matte chrome finish because I like the rough look of the finish buy another part wants to get tge polished chrome.

I am turned off from the polished chrome because of its blingness and the maintnence required to keep it looking good.

I think bac has the polished version and some others here as well and would like some inputs.

:upeyes: so why on earth did you come in to a thread about a gun you have NO INTEREST in?

I would go with the black if I were the OP. never really liked really shiny guns other than a satin stainless finish.

I'd probably opt for the polished chrome. I'm mean it's a DE, there's nothing practical about it, so you might as well bling it up. I'm curious, what other colors you have.

Personally, I've owned a DE in the past. I had a blued one a few years ago. But I sold it because I realized to me, it was just kinda dumb for me to own it.

My Desert Eagle is Matte Black and is 44 Mag with a 50 Caliber Barrel. I had the 44 Barrel, hammer and trigger Polished Chrome. It looks pretty sharp.
If I buy another one it will be all Gold. To each his own!! :supergrin:

POLISHED CHROME BABY!

I've wanted one ever since the scene in the first Robocop where they pick up the Polished Eagle to demonstrate the ED209.

I had one of the earliest Eagles in 357. I want another! Nothing like lightning fast double taps with full power 158 grain 357s!

Quick question for the OP:

Are they currently doing "polished chrome" ? I thought they dropped that option and went with brushed only.
