They are in the business of selling springs, but I don’t think they’re lying about anything.
Not lying, but rather grossly exaggerating to sell their products.

Magazine springs don't lose energy at anywhere near the rate they suggest by staying compressed. If they did, it would be a widespread and common 'issue', but it isn't.

Look up above where they also suggest recoil springs last 500-1500 rounds.
Some recoil springs in compact pistols, especially where dual springs are used or are replaced by a single spring may require changing after 500 - 1500 rounds.

I believe springs fatigue from just being compressed. Is it enough fatigue to make a major difference? Maybe, maybe not. In the HK manual concerning their LEM trigger, they recommend dry-firing the pistol before putting it away in storage to prolong the lifespan of the hammer spring. I figure HK and Wolff know more about springs than I do.
