I've tried to like glocks three time over the many years and just get fine any love for the flat sided grips and grip angle so they come and go soon after . I do like the feel of the m&p grip better than other polymer pistol out there and the fact that s&w added adaptor plates for any optic choice on the core model from day one goes a long way to making them a better choice than others . The new compact and upgraded sheild give new options and easier concealment .

The new m&p pistols trigger is pretty good and for carry seems to need nothing unlike the early models . The shield ,,, hum,, not sure yet as I'm not fan of of poly single stack but in the near future it might be the wise choice but in the 4" version . The extra length is not hard to conceal . I might need a red dot in the future too as I wear trifocals now . I have been waiting on a springfield ronin operator 9mm as a gap filler in out 1911 carry choices but getting one might be a looong weight now so I will look at the m&p pro series shield 4" too .
